I really like this hair masque which I was graciously sent by L'Oreal and ChickAdvisor as part of the Product Review Club. While its price makes this masque an initial investment, only a small amount is needed per treatment so the 200ml bottle should last for a while.

The hair masque has a good consistency - thick but still fluid enough to work easily into your hair. There is no discernible scent to the masque but it leaves behind a clean smell.

I was very impressed with the hair masque after my first treatment as it left my hair noticeably smoother and silkier. My hair was much softer to the touch, and it had an overall healthy appearance and feel to it. The effect lasted in between treatment periods and my hair feels much more moisturized.

My favourite things about this product are that it is very effective; there is no overpowering scent; it is an efficient product - only need to let the product soak in your hair for 1 minute as per the bottle's instructions; and the results are long lasting and live up to its claims.

If the price was a little cheaper, it would be preferable, but overall, I would, and am already, recommending this hair masque to my friends and family.

Overall I think the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque is wonderful! Before I used this product my hair felt dry, but the masque made my hair softer, shinier and healthier looking. I used it both in combination with the L'Oreal Intense Repair Shampoo and on its own, and found it was definitely better when used with the shampoo. The scent is not as nice as the shampoo, but still pleasant. I didn't have to use a lot to cover my thick mid-length hair. My hair was more manageable after I used the masque, felt a lot softer, and had a nice sheen to it. This masque is just as good as some other salon brands I have used for intense conditioning. I would consider buying this again, even if I used it with other shampoos, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for intense repair and treatment of their dry hair. The masque is a bit pricy for the amount you receive, but comparable to other salon brands.

I have used this for a few days and it has made my hair amazing! For Valentine's Day, I curled my hair and it made the ends of my hair super dry. Using this masque has helped it so much and the results were immediate (after my first use my hair felt a lot softer and the ends were no longer brittle!)


Claims:
- Repairs hair structure
- Adds strength and volume
- UV filters


Pros:
- Note that this is a MASQUE and the instructions on the back says that you should use it on towel dried hair and leave it in for 2-3 minutes. I used it as a conditioner (putting the product on wet hair) the first time and it was just okay. Using this product following the instructions allowed me to have even better results, so I would definitely recommend using it as a masque versus a conditioner.

- The scent. There isn't an overly strong scent to this product. I can't place my finger on what it smells like, but it is not an overly powerful, nauseating scent, nor does it smell like chemicals.

- It only takes a few minutes for the product to work. Some masques take forever! This one only takes 2-3 minutes. I apply the product in between my shower and then I rinse it out at the very end. It's super convenient and easy to make it a part of my shower routine.

- The difference it made on my hair after the first use. There was a noticeable difference in the softness of my hair (especially the ends)!


Cons:
- The packaging. I personally do not like the 'tub' style packaging; I just think the product becomes unhygienic after a while. The packaging for the shampoo is more preferred for me.


Overall:
I recommend this product to anyone with damaged hair because it delivers fast results and will help keep it that way! Again, thanks L'Oreal for saving my hair!

I try practically every hair masque under the sun that isn't too expensive and L'oreal has been one of the drug store masques that I actually have continued to repurchase so this nice to try since it is the professional line.
I did compare the ingredients in this masque and L'oreal's Total Repair 5 (drug store masque) and they are some what similar.
This masque is only 200ml but the formula is thick so you don't need a ton of product. I much prefer a thicker hair masque so it's not running right out of my hair.
I have color treated,fine, just past the shoulders hair and I had no problems with this weighing my hair down or stripping the color out.
The smell is just a regular deep conditioner kind of smell, nothing too over powering and I didn't notice scent lingering in my hair after it was rinsed out.
I would for sure use this masque a couple times a week to keep my hair hydrated. With adding moisture I do notice more shine to my black hair but nothing crazy.
I do think this is a great masque but I wouldn't say this is my HG masque. I would recommend trying it out if you can find it for a decent price since somethings work great for others.
I will use this up but probably stick with my Macadamia Deep Repair Masque as it never fails me.

I first heard about this product from a friend of mine, who was using it to help prevent further hair loss. What I really like about the product is that it is like a super-conditioner, and I just leave it in my hair while I shave. It's quite a heavy product, meaning that it takes a bit more effort to wash out, but I have noticed that my hair feels noticeably softer after applying this hair mask.

I've used other restorative products in the past, and this one definitely is one of my favourites. I would suggest it to all the ladies out there!

This is a great product that leaves your hair smooth without making it flat. The smell and texture were perfect. The only problem I had was that it said to towel dry before applying and in the shower this does not really work so well. I rung out as much water before apply and I still seemed to have good results. I would use this product again, thanks L'Oreal.

I really liked the way this conditioner worked on my hair. My hair is curly and dry but I found that this conditioner really softened my hair. After conditioning I was able to brush my hair and all the tangles from the curls were gone. Normally I have to pre brush my hair in order to be able to brush it after I wash but this product is different. My hair was much softer and easier to manage and when you have very little time to worry about your hair this is a big plus for me.Like the shampoo this conditioner has a great scent and worked very well. I would prefer if the conditioner came in a bottle. I found it a bit weird dipping my hands into the jar to get it out. And just like the shampoo I hope that this conditioner comes in a bigger container. I did use a bit more of the conditioner so I would run out very fast. Overall I am happy with it and if I could find a bigger size for a good price I would buy it for sure

Texture was kind of jellyish compared to other prodcuts that are more creamy, the smell was nice just like the shampoo. The only annoying part was the drying your hair before applying the masque. Sometimes if I shower quickly I just absentmindedly apply the masque without drying my hair. It's an extra step that kind of takes a little more effort than just a regular conditioner. Otherwise the product was simple enough to use.

2. Did you notice any changes to your hair? (e.g. smoothness, moisture levels, healthy appearance, etc)
I did find my hair was a lot smoother and softer. However it also seemed to have a filminess to it that i didn't know if it was due to using too much of the masque. There wasn't a specific instruction on how much of the product to use (i.e. dime size) so not sure if that's just the product.

3. How do these products compare to other hydrating or reparative hair treatments you’ve tried in the past (if any)?
Like the shampoo I found it was comparative to other masques I used and even conditioners. Hopefully I will see more results in the long term as I only used this product for 2 weeks.

4. Would you consider purchasing these products in the future and/or recommend them to a friend?
I wouldn't recommend it just because 30 for the product is too expensive, the size is too small and the results just weren't there. I can buy salon brands from the BSO for cheaper.

I have never used a masque, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I liked the result but not the process. I found it annoying that the directions said to use on towel-dry hair. My husband found it funny watching me stop the shower, dry my hair and then go back in! I have only used the masque twice (I only wash my hair about twice a week, so I used the masque once each week). My hair was almost slick after rinsing. The texture of the masque felt just thicker than conditioner and it went on nicely.

Just like the shampoo, I found that my hair was much smoother and silkier. I did find that my hair got greasier faster after using the masque however.

Having never tried a product like this, I really have nothing to compare it to.

Yes! I do see the masque lasting a while though as I would only be using it once a week or as needed. Overall I liked the product and found that my hair was overall better looking and healthier.

First, a quick explanation of my hair type - I'm of East Indian descent and was blessed with long silky wavy/curly hair. Nevertheless, given my infatuation with straight hair, I decided to take the plunge and have my hair chemically straightened... BIG MISTAKE. This, along with ten years of straightening, have turned my once beautiful tresses into a horrifying mess of long straw-like frizzy dry hair

I was super excited to find out that I was going to be receiving the L'oreal Intense Repair Masque. Having used the conditioner several times upon receipt, here is what I have found so far:

My overall experience has been quite pleasant. I do wish that the masque came in a squeeze bottle, as I am not a fan of using twist container when dealing with wet hair. Also, I would prefer squeezing the preferred amount into the palm of my hand as opposed to scooping it out of a container. The scent, similar to the shampoo, reminded me of a light blend of cucumber and oats - although it's a pleasant and light 'summery' smell, it's not one that I am accustomed to as I am more inclined to use products with a floral/perfume scent (not necessarily a good thing!). The consistency of the masque is nice and thick, something you definitely wish for in a masque - you can, however, easily coat your hair with a small amount. Upon application and rinse, my hair definitely feels smooth and silky! The best part is that I don't seem to have as much hair fall out as I normally do after I rinse out my regular conditioner.

When my hair has dried, I haven't noticed a significant change in terms of moisture levels, smoothness and health. However, I haven't used this masque nearly enough for it to have made a noticeable impact as of yet - I definitely am positive that there is potential over long-term use!

Although I haven't used many repairing masques in the past, if I had to compare this product to others that I have tried, I would rank it highly due to the fact that I've been finding hidden curls that I had thought I had lost forever given all the chemical and heat damage I caused my poor hair. Also, I love how smooth and silky my hair feels as soon as I rinse it out and towel dry it. Thus, I am hopeful that it will help with the overall moisture, smoothness and health of my hair as well! I just wish there was a greater quantity!

The product is rather pricey, so for me to purchase it again or recommend it to a friend would require heavy justification - if the smoothness, texture and health of my hair is restored, as long as my curls, then I would seriously consider purchasing again!
