I have been using this product for a couple of weeks. The product feels creamy and has a light, fresh scent. I've found that the scent disappears from your hair after drying. It lathers nicely and doesn't leave a residue in your hair. My hair felt thicker and smoother after a few uses. Alone I didn't see a difference in moisture level but combined with the L'oreal Professional Intense Repair Masque, my hair was much less dry. I would recommend this product and I feel that it's performance is highly competitive with other similar products on the market.
*I received this product through the Chickadvisor Product Review Club.
I have been using this shampoo for several weeks now and overall the product is pretty good. Love the scent of the shampoo - kind of smells like watermelon - very fruity. The shampoo was not overtly thick, but it has the right amount of creamy thickness - very easy to put on the hair. I noticed after the first wash - my hair felt a lot smoother, Usually when I shampoo my hair it feels coarse, usually have to put conditioner in it to feel smooth, but noticed that after the shampoo that it was feeling soft. In comparison to other product that claim to restore/moisturize - would have to rate this product more on the better end - although not the best product out there. It is a little pricey for such a small bottle. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone with damaged hair because it is pretty effective and the results are almost immediate! If you're looking to try the shampoo would highly recommend that you buy the intense repair masque too as they work together.
I tried the L'oreal professional intense repair shampoo and masque through Chick-advisor's Review Club. I enjoyed the packaging of the shampoo bottle, as it was easy to handle, and the cap flipped up and it was easy to pour. I didn't like the packaging of the Masque as much. As this was a twist off cap, it was much harder to scoop a dab of the masque onto my hand and the screw the cap back on while in the shower. I would genearlly get some of the masque onto the cap while screwing it on. And it's much easier for water to get into the product. I did find the shampoo and masque helped my hair though. I really liked the subtle sent, and as I have really dry hair, i found that after using it for a couple of weeks my hair was much less dry.
I received this shampoo as part of the Product Review Club from ChickAdvisor and L'Oreal (thank you!).
Off the bat, the first thing you notice with this shampoo is the clean creamy banana scent. It is a pleasant smell, but if you prefer your shampoos unscented, it may not be for you. While the scent does not linger, if you sniff your hair throughout the day, you would definitely still be able to smell it.
The shampoo has a creamy texture and is of a good consistency - not too runny but not too thick either. It lathers well and is easy to work into my long hair. Once the shampoo is rinsed out, it leaves my strands squeaky clean with no semblance of any leftover residue.
Personally, I have not noticed any changes to my hair due to this shampoo (the masque is another story). While I have only used the shampoo for a couple of weeks and it may be too early for any noticeable changes to happen, in general, I do not think that the shampoo has improved my hair's moisture levels or smoothness. My hair is generally healthy, therefore I cannot speak towards its efficacy in bringing about a healthier appearance to my hair.
Compared to other reparative hair treatments, I find that this shampoo is average, and while it does not dry my hair out further, I do not notice much improvement either.
As this is a professionnel series product, I assume that the price is more elevated than L'Oreal's drugstore shampoos. For a higher price, I would rather spend the extra money on a product that remains on your hair for a longer period of time (and theoretically would lead to better results) such as L'Oreal's Professionnel Intense Repair Masque.
I received this product along with the complementing masque through the Product Review Club. Thanks L'Oreal!
I have used this for a few days (along with the masque) and it's made a huge difference in my hair! For Valentine's Day, I curled my hair and it made the ends of my hair extremely dry. Using this shampoo and the masque has made my hair so much better and softer. It feels healthier too!
Claims:
- Repairs hair structure
- Adds strength and volume
- UV filters
Pros:
- The packaging. I love this style of packaging because it is in a flip cap (no water will get in) and also I won't have to squeeze like a madman during my shower to get the product out!
- The viscosity of the product itself. It's not a gel that takes forever to slide down in the bottle, instead it's a creamy shampoo, which I absolutely love.
- The scent. It smells exactly like the masque. The scent isn't very strong or chemical-y.
- The difference it made on my hair after the first use (along with the masque). There was a noticeable difference in the softness of my hair!
Cons:
- The price. I don't think that I would have bought this product at the store because it's a little out of my regular price range for a shampoo. Although it is a salon brand and works so much better than my regular shampoo, I might consider switching!
Overall:
I recommend this product to anyone with damaged hair because it is very effective and the results are almost immediate! L'Oreal thanks for making my hair soft and gorgeous!
When I first popped open the cap of the shampoo bottle, I loved the scent that touched my nose. This L'Oreal shampoo is definitely one of the best-smelling that I've ever owned! It's nice and creamy, and is very smooth when applied. I haven't seen a noticeable difference in my hair quality yet, but I know that products usually need to be used for at least one month for there to be a visible difference. I would definitely consider buying it again in the future because of the wonderful scent! And I particularly like the packaging. I would definitely suggest this shampoo :)
I really liked the shampoo. It had just a simple scent, not to strong. It lathered really well so a little goes a long way. I actually found my hair seems to have more bounce using this product. Thanks L'Oreal and I would use again depending on price(not sure of cost) and I would recommend to a friend!
Thank you for the opportunity to try this product. I have used this shampoo several times now and here is what I like about it. The scent is very nice and not overpowering which is great. The shampoo lathered really nicely and I found that I did not have to use a big amount of it on my hair. My hair is very curly and dry but I found my hair to be softer after the use. The one big thing I found was that I do not have to pre brush my hair before using this product. My hair was easy to brush after the shampoo and conditioner. I have always had to pre brush my hair before washing it but with this product I do not have to.Overall I like this shampoo but the size was not very big. I do not know if this is the biggest size that is available but if it is I might be a bit hesitant to buy it.
I am very excited to write about this product,L"OREAL is one of my favorites brand, I believe L'OREAL carry only quality products. I have been using the shampoo for 8 days now and I like it a lot, but I must say it didn't wow me. Its very easy to use the routine is like applying shampoo and conditioner is really not more complicated, The scent is good, but I do like more when my hair is left with a more noticeable smell after washed. Another thing I liked is that no need great amount of the product, I do have a lot of hair (and I wash it everyday), so when I saw the bottle size I wasn't really sure if it was going to last long, but it does.
The first day i tried it didn't amazed me, but the more I use it, the more I'm loving it. My hair is really smooth, My curly hair is hard to condition but this product is really working for me. My hair doesn't feel dry at all and it's winter!
I have tried a lot of treatments before and, well; to be honest, it really didn't amazed me.I find it a bit pricey; having said that, I would buy it anyway, regardless the price because I liked it and It worked well for me, although I would like to see it improved with a more noticeable scent.
I would positively recommend it. I think the price is good not great, but is worth it.
1. What was your overall experience with this product? (e.g. ease of use, texture/scent, etc)
The product was easy to use (it is shampoo after all)! There weren't any confusing instructions or steps. The only comment I could make was that the ingredients/instructions were very tiny. I also found that the shampoo did not lather very well. I'm so used to lathering that I would absentmindedly add more shampoo. I thought that it might be a sulfate free shampoo, but that was not that case. Anyway after a few uses I got used to that, so it was not a a deterrent by any means. The smell was very unusual and pleasant (banana, pineapple, citrus, not sure?) and it came in a cute yellow bottle. However just to add, the bottle was pretty small.
2. Did you notice any changes to your hair? (e.g. smoothness, moisture levels, healthy appearance, etc)
I did feel my hair was more softer and seemed less dry than normal. The first couple of times I used the product I didn't use any of the products I put in my hair normally after washing it. I found my hair didn't appear more smooth unfortunately. It did however appear more healthy.
3. How do these products compare to other hydrating or reparative hair treatments you’ve tried in the past (if any)?
I've tried other similar products, including a masque by L'oreal and I found that the results were similar. I didn't notice my hair was so much more smoother or so much more hydrated after using these products. I found drugstore brands yielded similar results.
4. Would you consider purchasing these products in the future and/or recommend them to a friend?
For the price of 30.00 I probably wouldn't. I use drugstore brands and they've been working for me. Due to the size of the product and the results I would not buy it in the future. If the price lowered I would definitely consider it :)
