I have a love hate relationship with MAC fluidline; yes it gives me a great wing liner look, yes the black is matte and dark...but it dries out in the pot quickly and there are plenty of just as good cheaper options.
This is a makeup bag staple for me. Very easy to apply and forgiving when drawing a classic cat-eye. Overall a little softer than liquid pens on fair skin. Only downside would be the staying power vs. a liquid pen.
By far one of the best products they make. Sadly, their competitors have made similar products at more affordable prices.
Honestly, when I bought my first fluidline (many, many moons ago!) - I was terrified. Gel liner? What? But. No matter how many liquid, pencil, other gel liners I use, I always come back to this gem. I find, for me, I have more control and can easily mix any mishaps. Also, can we please talk about the pigmentation - sooo perfectly black and it does not smudge on me. Love. Repurchase, always.
I love this liner. Very easy to use if using the right brush. The only thing I have an issue with is that I don't use it every day so it takes me awhile to use it up and it tends to dry out on me! :(
I love makeup so naturally I'm always in a MAC store. I wanted to perfect my winged eyeliner technique so I picked up this gem. It's reasonably pricey but you can't go wrong. However, I'm sure you'll find a gel liner with the same effectiveness a Shoppers Drug Mart.
My initial thoughts about MAC's gel eyeliner was it's high cost, but I was happy to get it for a discount. The liner is a very smooth formula and allows for an easy application with a eyeliner brush. I have quite oily eyelids and even with an eyeshadow primer, the gel eyeliner still seems to melt off by the end of the day. I also don't think the eyeliner is as black as I liked it to be. I don't reach for it as much when I'm looking for an eyeliner, however it does do a good job as a base for a smokey eye and layering it with eyeshadows.
The main thing I love about MAC Fluidline's is not only their amazing staying power after you apply them but actually how long the products lasts. I've have mine for many months and it still is creamy and hasn't dried up, which is exactly what you would expect since each container is over $20.
