I have to say many years ago I tried MaryKAY I wasn't crazy about the product. I always had a reaction to the cleaners and makeup. I received my Semi Matte lipstick in my Premium bag it wasn't a color I liked it was however creamy and stayed on. I never had a reaction to it. Thats a plus.. I might try it in a different color one day..

I got the Mauve Moment in my ChickAdvisorPremium welcome bag.
I like the semi-matte aspect of it, it's not a bad look. I didn't find it transfers too much onto coffee cups. In my opinion it's not a lipstick that looks good without any other makeup on - have to do full foundation/powder/finish and so on.

Colour doesn't work on me at all, i'm too pale and pink for it. May look better on a natural brunette or a more olive skintone. Also noticed there is a huge difference in the colour in natural daylight vs. artificial light; in daylight it is pink with purple coming through, indoor light it has a darker, warmer brownish and more subdued tone (more close to the mauve in its name).

It's a bit pricey though, there are equally good products that can be found that cost much less.

I love the mauve moments color, quality is great goes on smooth, I just wish it had more staying power but saying that I would purchase, MaryKay has quality products!

This product was a really good price and the colours are beautiful. The only thing is that it is not long lasting, so you do need to keep it on hand whenever you wear it.

There are others that are better quality than this and at the same price. However, I want to say that it is truly creamy, semi-matte, and is not drying! It lost points from it smudging and needing a lip liner. It moves around quite a bit and it transfers :(

Got to try this lipstick in midnight red and it's a gorgeous color with great pigment! Nice and creamy/buttery formula. Feels like it's moisturizing my lips!

I live the feel of these lipsticks. It went on smoothly and creamy and felt very comfortable on the lips. The darker shades may need a lip liner. The price is a little high for what I would pay for.

I have received these Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte lipstick at the chick advisor showcase, and I thought they were quite nice! It has a really smooth texture, nice finishing and coverage. It did stain a little bit when I tried to wipe off with a make up remover, but nothing too crazy. I love the poppy please Color the best. It reminds me of a pin up red tone! Definitely would buy it again!

I really like the bold colors that it gives and i find that it its thick enough that the color stays on my lip. Pricewise this is not bad compared to the higher end brands as it does the job.
