    Goodbye Migraine

I have suffered from migraines since I was a teen and have tried all sorts of natural remedies and prescription medication over the years with little relief until my doctor prescribed Maxalt - also known as Rizatriptan. (Note: This is not available OTC, must be prescribed by a doctor)

They are tiny wafers that you let dissolve on your tongue, it dissolves in seconds, they are tasteless and within 20-30 minutes my migraine is gone. They come in various milligrams and I find the 10mg work for me. The trick is to take it when you feel it coming on though, that way Maxalt blocks it from forming in the first place. Sometimes that is hard for me, if I am at work because I don't always have it available. I have had no side effects, besides a bit of tiredness which I get anyway, but nothing else.

Honestly, this tiny wafer has been a life saver and I wish I had known about it sooner. A tip my doctor told me was to always keep it in the plastic pouch. They come in a blue plastic compact container with 4 pouches inside, with one wafer inside each pouch. The wafer is in a blister pack inside the pouch, so one would think that it is okay to open the plastic pouch and just carry around the blister pack, but no - my doctor warned me against this saying that they are specifically packaged this way to prevent moisture from getting inside, if that happens it lessens it's effectiveness of the medication.
If you are a Migraine sufferer, ask you doctor about these!
