It takes some layers to get the color to pop but once you achieve it, it's very vivid. I put it on in the morning and it started creasing around 9 PM so I'd say it has great staying power. It only creased a little on the inner corner of my eye. I'm sure others may have more success with staying power since it claims to be 24 hour and my lids are more on the oily side. I would buy again!
I saw these at Walmart a couple weeks ago, and what actually gravitated me towards trying them was the first shade I purchased - 35 Tough as Taupe (a matte true taupe color). I am in love with taupe eyeshadow and I wear it all the time, so I had to get the taupe one for only $6.96.
I have super oily eyelids, and let me tell you, this lasted for 24 hours on my eyelids, without creasing the slightest bit. I was really shocked because nothing I have ever tried has lasted that long on these lids!
With those results, I went back to Walmart and picked up 05 Too Cool (a white shimmery/sparkly color) so I could see if the formula and lasting power were the same as the matte formula. I can say that both formulas last long and have great pigmentation that last all day.
In regards to packaging, they are in a 4g glass pot with a plastic lid. The lid goes on super tight so the product won't dry out, and the packaging is durable and strong so it won't break if you drop it or carry it around with you in your handbag.
A couple of things that I did not enjoy about this product:
It is hard to blend with fingers, I find it easier to apply with a brush for wet shadows. I also found that really creamy eyeshadows do not work when placed on top of this product - when I tried it, the creamy powder shadow I used on my lids transferred to my crease.
Over all these are amazing and last until you take them off. I am a fan and I do recommend! :)
This is a fairly new product so as soon as I saw it I had to try it out! It instantly reminded me of a MAC paintpot and are marketed as a cream shadow (also a eyshadow base). I bought four, and was attracted to the white one "too cool" as it reminded me of the NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk. I have never personally seen a white cream eyeshadow before! I brought them home and compared them with my MAC paintpots, STILA smudge pots, and my BENEFIT creaseless cream shadows! The packaging is identical to the benefit one! Anyways, I swatched all of the Maybelline cream eyeshadows and they were very vibrant and pigmented! I left them on my arm and went about my day, I tried to wash them off before bed and they wouldn't smudge! More than 24 hours later the swatches were still going strong! Let's just say these last for more than 24 hours! Also, the colour selection is great! Go check them out!
I bought mine in "Bad to the Bronze" (in photos) at WalMart Canada for $7 CAD. The product is housed in a nice, heavy glass jar, giving it an "expensive" feel. "Bad to the Bronze" has a coppery golden sheen in the jar, but once on the lids, the coppery tones are not as apparent unless the coverage is built up. The formula is very creamy and easy to blend. I apply mine with a Taklon eyeshadow brush from Lancome to control the amount and placement. It gives a beautiful, shimmery look that is perfect for an eyewash and an everyday look. You can also get a dramatic, smokey bronzed eye look by building the coverage up. I apply mine without any primer underneath, and the longest I have had it on was over 12hrs, and there was no smudging, creasing or fading. There is no way now that I am willing to spend the $20 for a MAC paint pot (which dries out so easily) when this product does the job even better and at a way more economical price point.
This is a very pigmented cream eyeshadow. I purchased the color Painted Purple. This can be used as a base for your makeup or on its own. You have to build up the color to get an intense look but it is beautiful. I have been waiting for a product like this because I have a limited makeup budget and the MAC paint pots where way out of my league. I'm going to purchase one of the gold or silver ones next! These ROCK!!
