Great foundation - nice and light. Sometimes, I forget that I'm even wearing it at all !
However, it can be a bit blobby and come out in big clumps at times, so it helps for me to 'warm' it up. Plus, in the UK Maybelline didnt provide a range for dark skin in this and I was stuck with Cocoa, which is NOT quite my colour. On the American site I found out that in North America, they do a wider range and Dark 0 (Toffee) would be the perfect one for me. Gotta order that internationally ASAP!
Apart from that, its all great (=
i wear this daily. its a great product. the only bad thing about it is that it works best when applied with your fingers, and i dont like that too much, but its not that big of a deal. when applied with a sponge it doesnt look as good as when applied with fingers. i love how soft and creamy it is. it makes me feel like im not even wearing makeup.
I think this is eithet a hit or miss product. I personally did not like this product at all. I am very fair skinned and although it came close it was far away from my tone that you could notice that i was wearing makeup.
The worst thing for me with this makeup is that i felt like I was applying food to my face. I dont know if that part of it made me feel like it was too thick, or if it really was. Regardless I felt like my foundation was very 'cakey' which is not a comfortable way to feel, atleast not to me.
Also, compared to other foundations this container didnt last very long, likely because much of the product is actually air which has been fluffed into the makeup.
I know somepeople who really love this makeup and appreaciate its texture and thickness. If you are looking for a very heavy foundation this is likely a good option for you to try.
i didnt like this product at all! it was hard to apply, didnt provide the coverage i was looking for and the colour was just off. save ur money
This product really goes on smooth and airsoft. But this is not long lasting. Also you cant wear it when it's a bit hot/warm. It starts going of!
After using this for some 1 month I came to conclusion that this was the cause of my breakout. Then I came back to my fav. Loreal and breakouts dissapear.
After some half a year I again decided to give it a try - and again the same problem. This is pore clogging. So if your face is acne prone - don't even buy this.
I swear by this product. Every once in a while I'll be at Holt Renfrew or Mac or Sephora and spend $40 on some other foundation, and I come back to $10 Dream Matte EVERY SINGLE TIME and wonder why I wasted my money on the more expensive stuff that doesn't do NEARLY as good a job as Dream Matte.
I've been using it for years and I absolutely love it.
My skin is a little on the reddish side and it covers all the redness, even right out of the gym, right up. The coverage is exceptional...any blemishes are instantly concealed. It smooths my HUGE pores right out.
The only downside is that if your skin is dry, it may look a little flakey, but just moisturize before you put on the dream matte and it looks incredibly natural. Even mix the moisturizer with the dream matte on your fingertips before you put it on...
I have about 3 or 4 different shades I go through depending on the time of year. I leave it on half the time (bad, I know) but have never had any problems with it making me break out.
I. love. this. product.
I purchased the Mousse foundation in L2 "Classic Ivory" for most of the year, and also the L1 "Porcelain Ivory" for winter. It's winter, so I'm using L1, i havent tried L2 yet. But I really really am liking this foundation. The product itself is very.. revolutionary. It's literally a mousse that you can use whatever amount of it you desire and just smear it over your face. It offers great coverage! I have rosacea (mild but icky red splotchy cheeks that are very annoying!) and it covers it all right up!! I think that is the main reason why I have fallen for this foundation. None of the others conceal my rosacea as well as this does, and my main quality i look for in foundation is, can it cover my rosacea? The answer to this little gem, YES! Give it a try, it's not very expensive but is amazing!
This product has really made a difference in the way my face looks and feels. I recommend it to everyone!!
I'm really shocked at all the bad reviews for this. I absolutely love this foundation and I know so many people who swear by it as well. It covers up so well and feels really light on my face. I can use it as everyday foundation or as stage foundation. It is the only foundation that was able to cover up all my blemishes and make my skin look flawless, and it felt like I was wearing nothing at all. It is very matte, sometimes a little too matte, but just a shimmery bronzer or something works well on top. I have oily/combination skin so I like how matte-ifying it is. I never need to put powder on top of this. I can easily wear it every day too, and I find it lasts a long time. You don't need that much to have good coverage.
The one annoying thing I found is that the shades are kind of annoying. Some are very warm, some are cool, and they're just kind of all mixed up like that. And I found out the hard way that shade 02 is lighter than shade 01.
All I can say is that it is very annoying to put this product on every morning because your fingers get all dirty from the "mousse" and using a sponge is not plausible in this case. The coverage is okay and it lasts the whole day, however the range of colours is horrible! I could not find one to match my tan/asian skin tone, so I had to settle for something slightly lighter. I just bought the revlon new complexion compact makeup, so I only use the mousse on occasion. I would not suggest someone to buy it.
