Cute little bed time story

This is a cute little story teller. It is a really good idea but needs work. You have to download an app which was ok. It gives you a little guide to help attach the reel piece correctly to your flashlight. And it works on walls and ceilings. And my phone was bright enough to even use it during the day. The words appear on the phone screen and some you could click and they made sounds. I had an issuse of the words being covered by the handle of the projector clamp piece. I wish it could read the story aloud through the app for thoses kids who cant read yet. And the directions for how to activate were confusing. I received the product free to review from Family Rated.

Great for kids!

This projector for the phone is a great way to get kids to read along and more engaged but it's a bit blurry, on my phone at least. The stories are short and sweet but wish they were a bit longer. My kids loved both the stories that we got for free. If they had longer stories I would definitely buy more stories. Overall we liked it.

Great to encourage reading

The MoonLite Starter Pack is an encouraging reading device and app. It was very simple to download the app and input the key provided with the device and we were able to use it instantly. All of my kids were entertained from the ages of 2-10.

The only problem is that with a case on the phone, it is hard to keep the device positioned over the flashlight when rotating.

Great gift, but books are expensive!

The Moonlite project is such a wonderful idea. When I introduced this to my kids at bedtime, they were fascinated. The room was dark, and everyone was lying down in bed watching and listening to the story. At times, the projector was covering up the first few words of the story so I had to move the projector, and then the image placement got messed up, and at times, I wasn't sure which way to turn the story, and it was hard fumbling around in the dark trying to straighten things out. But even with these hiccups - my kids were fascinated. The first story we read was "I love you forever" and this story always makes me ball my eyes out - so I can't even finish the story because I'm balling my eyes out - not sure this is the best story to read with the sad story line of mom getting old and the story has a lot of rocking sounds with sound a little like creepy Halloween. Anyway - kids still liked it, and the like the other story as well. I went to go online to buy more stories and they are 7.99 a piece, and the selection isn't the best. But I don't want to pay that much for a book, so I guess we will just stick with what we have until the price drops. Overall - it's really cool, but expensive, and still has a few bugs to work out to be flawless. I recommend this as a gift because you can get the books as gifts in the future when the mom and dad don't want to pay 7.99 a book - it can be a inexpensive gift to give a few books, and the kids love it.

I received a complimentary Moonlite Storybook Projector for testing purposes. I was sent the starter pack that includes two story reels, Moonlite projector, quick start guide and activation card. Everything comes packaged in a book shaped storage case. The stories are recommended for ages 3 -7, which include, Love You Forever and We Share Everything. Both are written by Robert Munsch. The quick start guide is easy to follow and tells how to use the application code to retrieve the stories that follow along with the story reels. The projector is used in conjunction with an app that is available on the Apple App Store or Google Play. After downloading the app and setting up a Moonlite account, there is a step by step tutorial within the app. Both stories are now stored in the app upon applying the application code. The projector easily clips on to a phone and uses the phone flashlight for projection. There is a knob on the front that is turned to focus the projected picture. The story reels are inserted into the projector and there is an arrow telling which slide to start. The story on the app plays music while you read along out loud. It has certain parts within the story that are highlighted and when you click on them will play a sound. At the end of each page it tells you to turn to the next slide in the reel. I find the hardest part in using this is getting the projector on my phone just right. It does have a target to line up on the app but it doesn’t work just right with my phone. However, I do have a rather bulky phone case so perhaps this is the cause. I also find it hard to turn between pictures without moving the projector and having to put in some work to line it up again. It is really trial and error. My daughters really enjoy this product though and my four year old finds story time to be more fun. I recommend giving it a try.

Story TIme Upgraded

I received the Moonlite Storybook Projector free for an honest review. I had a little trouble getting it out of the packackage but once I did and we tried it out, it was a hit. I watch my 4 year old niece a couple times a week and we loved reading the stories we received. My only issue was with the projector wanting to move around while on the phone.

Fun to play

This moonlite story is great. Easy to use on phone. One package comes with 2 stories. My daughters were so excited to watch the stories. They now ask to watch it every night before bed. I only wish the images ‘ quality could be better.

Pretty Cool Product!

Overall, I like the idea of this product and my kids enjoyed hearing the stories and seeing the projection on the wall. They asked to use it several nights in a row now! It's definitely a neat product and fairly easy to use. The Age range for the stories provided was given to be 3-7, however, I feel the stories would have been better for younger kids. There may be other options that provide a bit more advanced stories but I haven't looked into that yet. My one complaint with the device is that it doesn't work well with a phone case. In order to see the images fully and properly, I had to remove my phone case which can get annoying when having to remove it every time I want to use it. It would be better if there was a way to adjust it for a phone case. However, once my phone case was off, it wasn't too hard to fit on my phone and the images could be clearly seen. I like being able to project the images on the wall so both my boys can see them at the same time while I'm reading the story. So over all I do really like this product and will probably look into getting more books go to with it.

The Moonlight Reader provided laughs and entertainment. Some of the pictures were quite funny especially the father trying to go up stairs with the cat in the way.That happens a lot in this house so we loved that scene especially.
This is good value for an easy to use product. I probably would purchase this product again.

Needs a few improvements

So first of all the pictures are crisp and clear . The sound effects are really cool and my kids were so excited and happy about it! They didn't want to stop with the stories however the issue with the product is it slips and slides a ton. It has to be adjusted a lot and it's a huge pain. It made it more frustrating than fun in a parents point of view but it didn't phase the children much. My oldest is already wanting more stories and my youngest wants to use the projector as a night light lol
