When I first heard about this product, I was expecting it to be like a truffle type of chocolate on the inside. This was not the case, but that is not a bad thing. I would compare the "mousse" part of the chocolate to have a marshmellow like consistency. I was quite pleased that the mousse had a very similar taste to the chocolate on the outside. I have found that frequently when the inside of the chocolate is a different type of consistency the taste is different.
I am not a huge dark chocolate fan, and the mousse inside is supposed to be dark chocolate. However I really could not tell that it was. It was not bitter at all, which I have found dark chocolate to be.
My only issue with this chocolate is the price. Though you do get 10 pieces in the package, I think that $4 is a bit much for this. But it would be nice for a treat once in a while, or if you want something different than the regular chocolate bars.
Overall, I would certainly purchase this product and would recommend it to my friends!
Tasked with the difficult job of rating chocolate for the product review club, I'm pleased to report that my taste buds and palate were up to the challenge! Reviewers were asked to sample both the dark and the milk chocolate 100g versions of Nestle Noir Mousse Delicate (10 pieces per box).

The Real Scoop:
The product is being launched at a great time, as consumers scale back on purchasing discretionary luxury goods like imported chocolate, the product fills a niche between run-of-the-mill chocolate bars and expensive $50 boxes of chocolates.
The packaging is a sleek, elegant looking box that flips open to reveal 10 chocolates that are nestled in a gold tray. There is a rich feel to the experience, which begins when you lift the gold foil away from the tray to reveal the smooth individual chocolates.
From a taste perspective, I am decidedly neutral about this product (and would recommend the 52% cocoa dark chocolate version). The taste is an average milk chocolate (neither the best or worst I've had), which tastes a touch too sweet for my liking. The results is a chocolate that is good in a pinch, but will not likely trigger cravings. It's slightly reminiscent of Lindt chocolate truffles, although this has a mousse centre and Lindt has a smoother tasting chocolate. Still, for a mass-market product at the $3.99 price point, it has hit a good recession-era price point.
Of the two products, the milk chocolate mousse tastes a bit too sweet, but this dark chocolate version has a pleasing smooth taste. As it is pre-portioned into 10 bite size pieces, it would make a nice little treat to share at the office.

THIS PRODUCT WAS FANTASTIC! I got this as part of a product review, and I have never been so happy to be chosen! It was such a great mix of milk and dark chocolate. It was so smooth and rich! I loved the shape and the box was a great size! I ate it all in one sitting! I would definately get this product again and reccomend it to all!!!!!
I received both dark and milk chocolate versions as part of the product review club. I decided to write both because I really like both of them equally. The milk chocolate is very creamy and the filling is so fluffy. As with the dark one it is a nicely sized piece and is not just bite sized which is nice, it means I don't finish the entire box in one sitting. The box is nicely presented and matches the quality of the chocolate. I love these chocolates and ate pretty much the entire box in a few days, great chocolates and would definitely buy it myself.
Received these as a product review, must say I really liked them alot.. the chocolate isnt too heavy feeling in your mouth, cute little box with gold foil, can reclose the box to keep them fresh, Would be nice as a small gift.
I liked the mousse filling inside, I found it creamy and very good. I was expecting it to be really rich and sweet, ( just the impresseion I got from the name) but it wasnt too sweet at all.. was just perfect
Would def buy !
I received this chocolate as part of the product review club in both the Milk and Dark chocolate varieties. I was intrigued with the Mousse filling as it would be interesting to see how the different textures would affect the experience.
The quality of the chocolate is acceptable but I found the mousse to be more spongy rather than airy and creamy (which is what I was expecting). I found the milk chocolate variety a little too sweet (but that’s just my opinion). I have to admit that the chocolate is not as high quality as Lindt or Michel Cluizel but it also isn’t as pricey either.
However, the packaging is impressive. It comes in a deep set box with each chocolate in its own little compartment. And at $3.99/box, it's quite reasonable. The chocolates are rich so that you won’t be able to eat the whole box in one sitting (I can only take 2 maximum at a time).
It's more expensive than your typical candy bar, but the mousse makes it different and they are pre-portioned so you can just enjoy one piece at a time. I think Nestle has hit a good niche – somewhere between regular candy bars and imported brands with a price point that reflects it. Perfect for a small, decadent and affordable treat!
When I got these in the mail, I was surprised at how cute the packaging was! There are 10 chocolates ordered nicely in a flip-open box. The box also has a tab to close the flap afterward, when you went to set the rest aside for later. I really like the look of it. It makes it seem like it is some sort of specialty gourmet chocolates.
$3.99 seems to be pretty pricey for what it is, but then again these 10 pieces are filling and you're probably paying more for the nice packaging than the chocolate.
These chocolates are a decent size, not too big, but not small enough to need more than one in a sitting. This particular box was filled with chocolates which had a hard milk chocolate shell, with a soft dark chocolate mousse in the centre. I liked the contrast between the two, and the mousse was a very nice touch, but the chocolate in general was nothing to rave about. Despite the look, it wasn't really a gourmet chocolate, and although it wasn't the worst chocolate I've had, it wasn't the best either. It was fairly average, a bit of a step up from a chocolate bar, but definitely not as good as gourmet chocolates.
What I do like is that these chocolates are filling. You're not going to pop a whole bunch into your mouth in one sitting. You'll want to have 1 or 2 and save the rest for later. It would be a perfect treat for dessert after a meal. This is also the kind of treat you could give to someone as a little gift.
As these chocolates seem to be completely average to me, I would still recommend them, because chocolate is chocolate. It's still good. I would probably buy this again.
The packaging is quite attractive and makes the chocolate special - this would be a nice gift for a stocking stuffer.
The price is a bit high, but there are 10 pieces, and I couldn't eat more than 3 in one sitting - lots to save for later. So overall, I think it's good value for the price. And because the packaging is so nice, it really seems like a treat.
Even though this is a milk chocolate, there is a bit of dark chocolate in the centre, but it's still really yummy.
I really enjoyed this chocolate, and would definitely recommend it.
I received a box of this chocolate as well as the dark chocolate version from the Product Review Club. I'm not a huge fan of dark chocolate so I decided to try the milk chocolate first. I was surprised and a bit disappointed that the milk chocolate version actually contained dark chocolate mousse, but thankfully it was sweeter than other dark chocolate I've had.
I enjoyed the texture and taste of the chocolates and found the packaging cute and functional. But I have to say, I wasn't really wowed by the chocolates until I tried them when they had melted a bit. They were a lot messier this way but so delicious and smooth.
I think the price point ($3.99) is reasonable, considering the quality of the chocolate, the amount you get, and the packaging. This would even make a nice small gift for someone.
Hmmm... yummy.
I'm loving the milk chocolate. The mousse centre is really nice and creamy but you also get the hard coating too. The flavour is rich enough that I can satisfy with my chocolate cravings with 1 (maybe 2) pieces.
This is a step up from a regular chocolate bar. Bit of an indulgence. There's only 10 pieces in a pack so I think that the price is a bit high, but nice as a special treat.
