another cleanser in the market

I'm in my thirties and still get acne, so i got this product. However, I did not feel that this product helped or that my face was really clean after use. Now i use other products for face wash.

this pore cleanser mask combination is a life saver. it does the cleaning job well and it can also be used as a mask. one price but for two purposes. perfect !

Fabulous mask

I absolutely love this product. I use it as a mask when my usual products can’t keep up with my acne breakouts. It is soothing and minimizes pores and blackheads immediately. It calms my acne breakouts and yet is gentle enough to not make my skin sore (a problem I have with several products). I would encourage anyone with frustrating breakouts to try this.

Cleanses but Dries

This cleanser/mask by Neutrogena is great for many reasons but it does have its minor flaws. Due to its high strength, I only use this when I have a crazy breakout that won't go away and needs some tough love. The benzoyl peroxide zaps acne fast and puts it in its place. I use this product mainly as a mask. In my experience with applying it this way, the menthol ingredient does have a major effect on the eyes, causing them to become irritated and watery. I haven't found a solution for this yet. So far, all I can come up with is keeping my eyes closed as much as possible until the product dries. I'm sure the menthol is supposed to serve a purpose in some way perhaps as an analgesic to calm irritated acne, but it actually behaves as a counterirritant that does that while causing my eyes to water. Part of the purpose of doing a mask is to relax as well, but I can't do that with this mask. It's too strong. It should be marketed as a spot treatment (to be used in small amounts directly on troubled areas) as opposed to a cleanser/mask for the whole face. A side effect of doing so is that it leaves my skin feeling very dry, and further skin care is necessary afterwards to restore moisture. Overall, it does cleanse the skin and pacify acne, but there are some side effects due to its intensity.

A must have clean feeling

Face wash/mask.... nice to have an all in one product. Face feels clean and not dried out. I normally have bad breakout, this product has kept my face at bay. No breakout tho it hasnt helped with my blackhead problem. But i can deal with a blackhead over my cystic acne problem.

This is the best benzoyl peroxide cleanser I've found (and I've tried a lot). The fact that you can use it as a mask is a nice added bonus. I've tried a lot of different acne-fighting ingredients and my skin responds best to benzoyl peroxide. So, I've been using this on/off for 6 years or so.

I first discovered it on Amazon but now I just buy it from Walmart. I found that this is very gentle on my skin and doesn't tingle or irritate my skin. It does a great job of deep cleaning my pores and minimizing breakouts.

Since I have extremely oily skin, I like to use it as a mask 3-4 times a week. It rinses off very easily and is great for use in the shower too (leave on while lathering, shaving, etc., then rinse off before getting out). It leaves my skin feeling really smooth and then I follow up with an oil-free moisturizer.

I see that now more companies are trying to do the cleanser/mask thing and I've tried a couple of them, however, Neutrogena does it best! I always come back to this one.

I have acne-prone skin, and noticed a great improvement to my skin after using this product. My acne seemed to fade away, the number of new ones decreased, my skin looked and felt cleaner.

When I used this just as a cleaner, everything was fine. However, when I left it on as a mask, my face turned red. I both look and feel like I have a sunburn. For the first time in my life, I tossed the stuff straight into the trash. I normally hate throwing money away, but nothing is worth this.

I have bought this in the past and was quite happy with it. My complexion wasn't that great a few years ago and this product cleared up my blemishes.

I love this product ,its worth every penny, and I love that it does not make my skin feel tight.
