I reviewed this product as a panel member and was impressed after using it for a week.

I had in fact been looking for a face sunscreen and had looked into Clarins (way more expensive), Kiehls Super Fluid UV Defense 50 SPF (~$35). But this Neutrogena product is less expensive and likely provides the same benefits. It's similar in that these are all not moisturizers, but sun protectant only. For the summer, this works for me since using a moisturizer with SPF included sometimes makes me too oily (I have a bunch of those too). And I'm one of those people who would never use body sunscreen on my face.

Specifically, this product did what it promised. It's very sheer and light-weight. The texture is liquidy, not like a cream. I didn't need much product to spread it over my face. During the day I didn't feel too oily... only on the most humid of days (and we're talking about 40 degrees with humidity) did I feel oily but I don't think any product would have prevented that.

I would recommend this product for those looking for summer protection for their face.

Well about 2 weeks ago to my surprise I was chosen to test try and review neutrogena's ultra sheer water-light daily face sunscreen ( spf 45 ). I must say that I was quite impressed with the product overall and after using it for almost 2 weeks consecutivaly I can say that this product does all that it claims. First, the statement of being ultra light and sheer so true, so much so that I always managed to forget I had some on. Secondly as for being great even under makeup , well that also is true, I broke out the old makeup bag and tested it and not just with a bit of mascara and some lipstick but the whole 9 yards and true again to it's word the makeup didin't smear smudge or leak in fact it was a great base coat to my face for the makeup to adhere to. As for the scent well it is barely noticable which is great, I did not , even after almost two week breakout anywhere on my face do to this product so I can say that it is not oily in the least and I am not sure if this is because of the product or not but my tan seems to be a bit more even on my face ( no sunspots ).Ok now for what everybody wants to know, is it worth buying? well myself not being a daily face cream user at all except for the last 2 week would give it a big fat YES, I would definately buy and recommend this product after using it, it is great overall and altough I got to test mine for free is a decent price for the quantity and quality also it is a great size to be portable.I cannot say with all certainty if it will keep my skin looking young but it does have a high spf rating so chances are that it will. I hope this little review was helpfull to all who read it and I hope to be able to review another product real soon.

First of all it is definitely ultra sheer. Thumbs up!
It is liquid (runny) enough - soo easy to apply, you don't have to make rounds or wait to make sure your skin sucks it.
When I first opened the package I thought it is a small bottle.. However.. It has a tiny head so you won't go overboard! And considering how little you have to use to cover your face and neck it is perfect. NO breakouts! Oh and it fits your handbag perfectly if you need to apply later or traveling.. The cap is secure. Truly a GEM! To me it is a must have now.. PS: Remember you have to use sunscreens and/or sunblock all year round.. "Don't let the it's winter I don't need it" myth fool you!

I received my sunscreen just before we left on our summer road trip. Talk about great timing. I loved the texture and delicate scent of this sunscreen. It was easy to apply and spread around my face and neck. It absorbed nicely into my skin and it didn't feel like there was anything on my skin. What I have been using always left my skin (facial) feeling greasy, shiny and dirty. My skin is quite fair so I need a good sunscreen on a daily basis. The Neutrogena didn't irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. It was very easy to apply make-up over top, without any "greasiness" showing through. I like that the bottle fits nicely into my purse so that it is always handy for reapplication. I'm very pleased with the performance of this sunscreen and I will buy it again for my face. Have been reccomending it to others as well.

Thanks chick advisor for letting me try this out. I've been using it everyday for the past two weeks, and I'm really pleased with this. This is amazing to wear under makeup. It's so light and my skin adsorbed it instantly. There is no trace of it when I put on my regular makeup,. It gave me no skin problems at all. It didn't clog any of my pores. The only minor problem that I had, is that if I rubbed it a little too close to my eyes it burned a little, but I just made sure to be extra careful. I really like the packaging. Since the consistency is watery, I like the bottle, it doesn't pour out too much liquid at once. In all, this is a great sunscreen. You can wear it under your makeup with no problem. I will be buying another bottle when this runs out !

This sunscreen. is amazing!!! I like the smell of it. I love the water-light texture. The texture is great and easy to use. I like the oil-free. Non shiny finish.

I have oily acne prone skin and I used the product for 5 days before posting this review.
I applied it on my face and then applied my makeup. My foundation went on smoothly on top of the sunscreen.
It is very lightweight and non-greasy unlike all other sunscreen products I have used.
It did not cause me to breakout. Normally my T-zone gets oily and I have to keep blotting my skin all day long. But with this product, my t-zone did not get oily and I did not have to blot my skin at all. The product works great on its own and for me it worked as a sunscreen, moisturizer and primer. It worked as a a moisturizer because it did not dry out my skin nor make my skin very oily. It worked as a primer because my makeup went on flawlessly on top of it. I feel like I got a 3-in one deal.
Since I started using this product, I haven't used any other mositurizer and primer. I will continue using this product on its own. I love it !!!!
My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for its size. I wish it was available in a slightly larger sized bottle.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Water-Light Daily Face Sunscreen SPF 45 Rocks! This was the first product I was chosen to review by ChickAdvisor and it was amazing. It felt nice on the skin, not heavy at all. Was so happy with it that we shared it with friends of ours that we were going bicycling with. Beyond satisfied with the product and will definitely buy it. Hubby said for another sample, he would stand on the street corner and gladly promote it...lol....seriously, though he would. So would I. Perfect size to carry around. The scent is not overwhelming. Our skin felt nice all day. We're sold on this product. It's a keeper!

I really like this product!

It applies very well, and goes on evenly, much like a moisturizer. It blends better than any sunscreen I have tried. I applied it just before I put on my makeup, and it did not make my face greasy. In fact, I think it kind of served as a primer.

I love that there's no fragrance (or next to none!). Most sunscreens have a god awful smell. Either they smell like some weird combinations of chemicals, or like coconuts, which I can't stand since I associate it with sunscreen now. This had no fragrance at all.

I tested this out during the heat wave we just had. What better time to try it out? I'm a VERY pale person, so I typically burn in the sun even when I'm wearing SPF 70 and reapplying every 10 minutes. It's just my nature. I did not burn with Neutrogena's Face Sunscreen. Of course, my face got very greasy outside, bu it had to do with he 40 degree weather and not the sunscreen. It did not make me break out either.

This product is amazing compared to most facial sunscreens I have tried, which always seem to have a disgusting fragrance. And it's great that it's a nice portable size, so you can stash it in your purse and reapply when you've been outside for a long time!

I am very picky with my face sunscreen...most are way too greasy and do not work. I have been using this for about 7 days. Its perect for myself and my kids. I have a sensitive face when the sun hits. I usually have a rash...so far I am clear!

For the avg price of $15 it is well worth it. And effective sunscreen on a womens face hard to find , and this is the best I've tried. AND I have used alot of brands.
