The product really gives you a deep clean. It scrubs your pores without reddening the skin at all. You feel refreshed after using the product and your skin really looks better. The motion on the wave is very soft and its effortless to just slide this thing around your face to clean your skin. The Wave does all the work for you, all you have to do is move your hand. It didn't really clear up much acne for me, but It definitely cleaned dirt and make-up on the surface of my face.
I was almost done washing my face when i remembered i just bought it and it was gross how dirty my face still was with makeup. It instantly felt so good on my face and it made me have a better sleep! I woke to my face feeling silky smooth on the pillow it was an amazing feeling really kicked in after the third use how awesome it is. The only bad thing is it cost 12.99 for a box of replacement pads. But there is 30 inside and two kinds to get just wish they where a bit cheaper. But i am buying one for my bf i know he'll love it too just gotta buy the wave duo because it comes in blue but i guess it has 2 speeds and is 2 bucks more, dont know if the other speed is needed but he wont like it or even try it if its hot pink.
Okay, so I got really excited about this product when I first saw commercials for it about 2 years ago. After finally buying it and using it i was greatly disappointed. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOTHING. The vibrations of the "wave" doesn't do anything to dig down deep into my pores to extract the dirt. It just vibrates. The cleansing pads weren't all that great and I found the smell very unappealing I would never recommend this product and I feel cheated out of almost $30 when you add all the costs together. Terrible, just terrible.
I got one of theses on clearance a few months ago and it was horrible. the hand-held is just a vibrating massager and the cleaning pads do not foam up and barely any soap on them I threw the whole thing away after a few uses it made me sneeze alot when using it cause it vibrated your nose.
I LOVE this product.
- Immediate result after one use.
- face feels smooth and refreshed
- natural glow after uses
- very cheap refills: I recommend getting the normal refills, the ones with the beads are not very good. They don't foam as much and you can't feel much product on your face.
- Long lasting with normal battery.
- fun colors!
I've been using this product for a year now and I love how it feels on my skin and how much it cleans.
I always have left over smeared eye liner around the bottom of my eye and with the wave, it cleans out every bits of make up I have. It is very gentle, just don't drag it around your eyes.
The Neutrogena Wave is supposed to 'deep clean' your skin and Vanessa Hudgens was even signed on to promote its sudsy, lathering qualities on television. Sure it cleans your skin, but I find that the overly-touted vibrating function did little to deep clean better than my usual facial cleanser, and it didn't lather much at all. The selling point of this product I think is the novelty of the vibrating machine. I did not find that it made considerable difference in exfoliating, deep cleansing or increasing circulation to my face. Actually, this product left parts of my super-combination skin particularly dry and uncomfortable, which discouraged me from using this product too often. Although the machine is waterproof, I abhorred the refill pad packaging, as the inner plastic bag is non-resealable and the cardboard box does not look like it can keep the pads from drying up very quickly. Sadly, I admit that I fell for the hype and got duped into buying this product. I would not buy the machine or the cleansing pad refills ever again. If you're the kind of person who's happy always being first to wait in line for new gadgets like the iPad or the PS3, then this might be for you. If you're really lazy and can't be bothered to move your hands in little circles to wash your face, then this product might be for you. Otherwise, I'd say skip this product and spend your money wisely elsewhere.
I agree with most of the reviews of this product. I have very dry and sensitive skin so I cannot use this product every day. I do however use it once a week to get a deep clean. I do agree that the pads are a bit expensive and I tend to use each pad at least twice to save on money. I got it as a gift for Christmas but it took me a while to try it. It definitely leaves my skin extremely smooth but I do agree that if I used it every day, my skin would dry out. I don't see why you wouldn't be able ot apply your favorite cleaners to the pad and use the vibrating feature of this product to wash your face.
I think the best word for this product is, "meh".
You get the vibrating unit with 14 cleansing pads for about $20 . After you have used the 14 pads (you use one a day I think), you have to go out and buy another package of cleansing pads for $10 . I used it for about a week before I pawned it off onto someone else that was curious to try it...and I handed it over without hesitation. It did make my skin a bit smoother but I found that the cleanser that they use in the pads was over-drying and caused me to break out. I have sensitive skin, so I was pretty much counting on that happening anyways. If your skin isn't sensitive, I can see this being an average product that works well enough.
I got this as a present so I'm glad I didn't have to pay $20 for this package!
The exfoliating pads are great - if you were to use it without the 'wave' it would be good for an exfoliator too!
The vibrating, massaging feeling that the 'wave' makes it easier to clean deeper into the pores.
...there's really nothing more to say asides from the fact that this product is GREAT!
the only downfall I would have to say is that the vibrating head is a LITTLE big - it's a little hard to get into small spots like the ridges/sides of your noise, which -for me- is the most important part to exfoliate. Even so, it still does a great job!
This is a great alternative to expensive, massaging facial cleansers that go up to $100
