    The functionality on this chef's knife is great for me! I'm not a professional cook, but for home cooking it did the job better than any other knife I've owned in the past. Even cutting harder things like carrots and apples the blade didn't stick or have trouble and went down extremely easily. I found it to be the perfect weight for me, it felt light and didn't strain my wrist or arms. As I have weak wrists, I really appreciated this.

    Design-wise, it's definitely in a style I love. I like that the handle and blade are one seamless, streamlined design with no visible joins or screws where it could snap over time. I think the polished and contrasting frosted steel look is very elegant and sleek looking. The only downside would be that it says to handwash, which could be an issue if you have a dishwasher.

    This is an incredibly sharp knife, so do take care when handling it. It washes well and fits in the largest slot of my knife block without problems. Overall, just a great knife for cutting hard vegetables and fruits, hopefully it'll have a place in my kitchen for many years to come.

    This knife is a single stainless steel design with a heavy handle and very light (but large) blade. My Husband says that it is oddly balanced, but was impressed with its cutting power nonetheless.

    The first thing I chopped was a bunch of romaine lettuce – and it literally just sliced through it like it was butter. There was no hesitation and it just took ONE cut and minimal effort on my part. Next we tried pickles, and Husband sliced double the amount of pieces we normally get because of the thinness and efficiency of the blade. Wow! It does as good of a job of thin slicing as one of those mandarin slicers without having to store a large contraption for those events twice a year that you would need a mandolin slicer.

    Those are merely a few examples. On Food Prep Sunday, it slices through meat, squash, zucchini, broccoli – again, all without hesitation or a lot of effort on my part.

    This chef’s knife has some competition in my kitchen – an Ikea Chef’s knife I have had for 20 years (the first nice knife I purchased when I moved out) that has outlasted and out cut every other knife I have owned.

    And this knife passed and exceeded the test as per my examples above. Although my older knife does not hesitate too much, it has never had the same slicing effect as this blade!

    It is comfortable to hold and use on and off for the few hours it takes me for weekly food prep, and it washes simply with soap and water.

    The metal does smudge quite easily from fingers, and I would definitely recommend keeping it hidden away from anyone who should not be near knives (children, people with dementia-symptoms, etc.), as it is extremely sharp!

    I am unsure at this point if it will ever require sharpening (my older one has never been sharpened), so I am hoping for a long trouble free culinary experience for us.

    I would definitely recommend this if you want even just one higher quality knife in your kitchen!
