SOOO Good!

I was selected to try the POWERBAR PLANT PROTEIN CASHEW, SALTED CARAMEL AND DARK CHOCOLATE for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and it was seriously SO good. Salted caramel and dark chocolate are two of my favourite things so I knew that this had to be delicious... it was!

I love that the bar has a crisp and crunch to it and is not soft and/or chalky like most other protein bars. The texture is nice and the flavour profile is great in that you can taste a little bit of everything - it kind of tastes like caramel popcorn to me. The body of the bar is cashews, protein crisps, sunflower seeds and cashew butter which is then covered in a delicious dark chocolate coating. It is a slightly sweet bar, but I love it! I love that there are 10g of plant based protein and the bar is filling enough to satisfy any midday hunger pangs.

The ingredient list is a little long for my liking and although I enjoy the 10g of protein, I also wish there wasn't 10g of sugar. The pumpkin seeds could also have been left out of the bar as I don't think they really serve a purpose.. the bar would be perfect without them. You can buy them at Costco in a 14 pack for $16.99 which equates to about $1.20 a bar which is fantastic! I would pick this up over other protein bars in the store and would recommend this to my family and friends.

Too Sweet for my taste

While I am a fan of the other flavours in this line - I found the salted caramel and dark chocolate flavour too sweet. Two bites in and I had to drink lots of water to reduce the sweetness. The caramel also overpowered any dark chocolate flavour. Overall I enjoyed the bar and the ingredients (especially the cashew), I would not repurchase and opt to buy another flavour.

First time cashew in a bar

When I eat these types of bars, I go for almonds and not with cashew. This is my first time trying it with cashew and it's slightly different. The cashew is softer for me chew on and has a different taste. As much as I like the caramel, I do prefer the sea salt more. It does "stick" in your much as much =P personal preference.
I would definitely buy these again when I get the chance to and if the price is right! I have not checked in the grocery store to see what they retail for.

I loved the Cashew, Salted Caramel, & Chocolate Bar. I like to make sure I have a bar in my purse for that time between lunch and supper when you just need a little something to get you through to the end of your work day.

Tasty Treat!

This is my favourite flavour of the Powerbar Plant Protein bars. It is sweet and savoury, chewy, and crunchy at the same time. I would definitely grab this when I need a convenient and tasty treat. Because it has a healthy dose of protein, it kept me full. Another bonus is that it has more fibre, so it didn't plug me up like other protein bars (sorry tmi). It is sugary, so I would reach for it when I am craving a sweet treat. It has ingredients that I can pronounce and doesn't have an artificial taste! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a decent protein bar!

Yummy bar

I really love that these bars do not taste like regular chewy protein bars. They have a lot of good nutty ingredients. I really like the sweet and salty taste. Not your usual protein bar.

Great Bar

Delicious bar with a hint of cashew and salt with each bite. Great amount of protein to keep you full until the next meal and gives you a perk of energy.

I love the hint of salt in this bar, and you can actually taste some cashew! I like all of the flavours of these particular bar, but this one was one of my favourites. There is good amount of protein in each bar, enough to keep you full until lunch or dinner.

This bar was so yummy. When I started to have a sugar craving I went straight to this bar. I love the combination of salted caramel and dark chocolate. This bar is delicious and nutritious. I can highly recommend this bar.
