cute idea, bad design

We were gifted this for my daughter's first birthday. My inlaws bought one after buying their other neice one and she loved it. We put it together which was a somewhat pain, and it ended up missing parts so we had to take it apart, take it back to the store and get another one. The second one wasn't missing parts thankfully. After putting it together, it seems to be a great idea. The handle and rails and hood come off when your child is ready. One MAJOR design flaw is that you can't disconnect the pedals from turning while your little one can't pedal on her own. So we'll go out for walks pushing my daughter and since she doesn't clearly know how to rest her feet on the pedals, they come up and continually bash her in the feet and shins. They need to make is so you can just disconnect the pedals from turning. I wouldn't buy this or recommend at all.
