Too hot for my liking!

I was really excited to try Rude Mama Passionfruit hot sauce because the tropical fruity smell is fantastic and I love passionfruit everything. I tried on my stir-fried rice to add some flavour, but unfortunately it turned out way too hot for my liking. The heat hits hard and fast completely overpowering the passionfruit taste-I could barely enjoy the fruit notes. Its a good quality sauce and I am sure for extreme heat lovers will enjoy it., but it’s just too spicy for me. I ended up using sparingly

Spicy with a fruity undertone: LOVE

I was skeptical, but it is REALLY good! I love the fruity undertone; it's mild enough to pair with almost anything. The spiciness was perfect for me. I love spicy! I tried it on several meals. Perfect every time. I recommend trying it.

What a kick!

I was NOT expecting that HEAT!! Wowwww it has such a great flavour, and then the kick at the end, nearly choked! I wish the passion fruit flavour came through a bit more but otherwise this is a hot sauce I cannot wait to use in a variety of ways!

Fragrant, flavourful and balanced sauce

Rude Mama Passionfruit hot sauce is a bright, fragrant and flavourful sauce. It's well balanced with sweetness of the passionfruit, fiery spice from the thai chilis and tartness from apple cider vinegar. This actually tastes like a home made sauce (like homemade by someone who knows what they're doing). It's hand crafted locally here in Toronto and made in small batches from premium Canadian ingredients. It's based off a central Vietnamese recipe so I knew it would work well with my silken tofu recipe. The sauce is a base which can have ingredients swapped and added like sugar if you want a bit of sweetness. But because this Rude Mama sauce was already so balanced and had the sweetness from the passionfruit and cane sugar, there was no need to add more. The use of apple cider vinegar also added a depth of flavour vs just a regular white vinegar. The heat is mild to medium so it will make you sweat but not blow out your taste buds. Overall, I really loved this sauce and can't wait to make more dishes with it.

It is nice

It is nice and spicier than I thought. But I didn't get the flavor as I thought (the passion fruit flavor). Otherwise it is very nice and spicy. My friend wanted to take it home

Has a great kick with some sweetness

I received this hot sauce to try out and was pleasantly surprised. I am someone that enjoys the occasional spicy food and got the chance to try this with some chicken pho. The sauce is easy to spread, it has a spicy scent to it, and it has a good kick to it when tasted alone. When I added it to my food, it gave such vibrancy and an extra oomph of flavour. There was a really tasty sweetness and depth, which I thoroughly enjoyed, because some hot sauces only have heat but no flavour. Though this sauce is only 2/5 chili peppers, I did find it gave a really good burn to the mouth and lips. Totally would recomment.

Amazing flavour

I have been really enjoying this hot sauce to add extra kick/heat to my food. As an Indian I love eating spicy and this hot sauce just hits home. It can be used while cooking or a condiment, adds that amazing kick to food without overpowering the flavour. The passion fruit flavour is a nice touch. Definitely recommend to try, my family is already enjoying it!

Wow was not expecting to LOVE this so much!!

I’m always looking for little ways to make quick meals feel less boring, and the Rude Mama Passion Fruit Hot Sauce has been one of those easy upgrades in my kitchen lately.

I’ll be honest.. I didn’t expect to love a passion fruit hot sauce as much as this but it’s actually such a good balance. You get a light sweetness at first, and then the heat kicks in after and yes… it builds!

Lately I’ve been adding it to dumplings and my morning breakfast wraps, and it just makes everything taste more put together without any extra effort

amazing hot sauce

Really great hot sauce, I love to use it on my salads, sandwiches and wraps. Really delicious and just spicy enough. I would definitely repurchace. If it could be made without seed oil that would be even better
