Delicious dark roast coffee

This Drunken Sailor coffee was so delicious. I love that it’s made in the maritimes and is such great quality. First thing I noticed when I opened the bag was how good it smelled, you can tell it’s great quality just from that. The only time I drink coffee black is if it taste great and this coffee was definitely one I drink black! Definitely getting more when I run out!

Deliciously Canadian

Saltwinds Coffee Company is a staple in our household morning routine. We had the opportunity to try Drunken Sailor and it hit the spot!

It’s a dark roast, medium ground so it was perfect for our coffee machine. Its rich aroma and taste is the perfect start to the morning. It’s deep but not bitter. I prefer my coffee black and these beans did not disappoint.

The history of the company is a cool concept, I enjoyed the little history lesson that accompanied my package. Shipping was incredibly fast, so when you need a fix it’ll be at your door step in no time.

This was a delicious brand of coffee and it now has a permanent spot in our pantry. We love that this is a Canadian company and will continue to support!

The Drunken Sailor blend is amazing! I was instantly hooked! The flavor is smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. I love that it’s infused with Atlantic salt air. I can’t wait to make my family a cup and have them hooked too!

Drunken Sailor Dark Roast Coffee

This is a flavorful coffee that is great as it is or in a latte. The clean and crisp taste is excellent and there is no bitter or weird aftertaste. I enjoy using this in my espresso maker and coffee makers equally, I'm not sure which is better as they are both great options to enjoy this tasty beverage!!

Really great smelling and tasting

I absolutely loved the Drunken Sailor Dark Roast Coffee! From the moment I opened the package, the smell was incredible—rich, bold, and comforting. The taste was just as smooth as I hoped, with that deep, dark roast flavor that hits just right. What really made me happy is that it’s local—I love being able to support small businesses that put so much care into their product. It arrived super fast and was packaged really well, which I appreciated. Honestly, this might become a new favorite. Highly recommend if you're a dark roast lover like me!

Review: Saltwinds Drunken Sailor Dark Roast

Tried this coffee and honestly… it’s got me questioning if I should trade my morning routine for a life at sea.

This dark roast is no joke. Bold, rich, and smooth with a depth that seriously impressed me. It hits with deep smoky flavor and just the right amount of dark chocolate vibes. And thanks to Saltwinds’ ocean air process (yes, that’s a thing), it’s somehow strong without being bitter.

Roasted in the Maritimes, it brings the quality and flavor of a premium café right into your kitchen.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It’s café quality coffee right at home. No barista required.

Excellent coffee

I tried the medium grind, dark roast Drunken Sailor blend. This coffee has an amazing aroma, and a flavour to match. I'm not sure if they add magic in with the ocean air infusion, but something is making this extra special. It has a rich flavour. I love that it's from a Canadian roastery, love the packaging and branding, and the story makes it that much more interesting. I have 30 odd years of coffee drinking expertise, have tried countless blends, brands, and ways to brew. I brewed this in my moka pot and can definitely recommend this coffee.
