Tastes Fine But Does it Help?

I was very excited to be able to try these Black Elderberry Immunity + Cold and Flu Relief Gummies by Sambucol. The timing was perfect to recieve this sample as I have been fighting a cold this week.

I tried this product almost immediately and I was pleasantly surprised. When I opened the sachet of gummies, I got a nice hit of the black elderberry smell. Taste wise, the product does not disappoint. The berry flavour is there and I also picked up on some of the citrus. It's tasty enough. I enjoyed it.

I like that there is a good amount of zinc and vitmain C in this product. These are so important when you are feeling unwell. I loved being able to access this nutrition quickly and conveniently. It's a bonus that it tastes good and is easy to chew.

That being said, the ingredient list could be much better. The first ingredient is sugar. For a wellness product, this doesn't work. There is also not enough nutrition in the product to really combat anything. We need a ridiculous amount of vitamin C when we are sick and this simply isn't enough. I suppose for regular days, adding these gummies in would be fine. It would make sure you get your daily intake and that's helpful.

Overall though, I don't anticipate using this. It just doesn't provide enough nutrition given the cost and other alternatives out there (ex. Eating and Orange). I definitely appreciate the opportunity to try this though!

Weird smell and texture

I was pumped to try this... But it was a disappointment. It didn't have a terrible flavour, but it smelled like mold and did not taste like a typical gummy. There was a grainy texture to it that I did not enjoy.

great to add everyday

This is great for this time of year it helps boost your immune system to fight against all the bugs that cause flu and colds it is easy chewable and has a berry taste absolutely a must to your routine

Good benefits to fight cold and flu season

Tastes really healthy. Has some great benefits lots of vitamin C, Zinc and Black Elderberry. I think it would be better to help fight colds when ill and during cold and flu season.

Easy way to boost Immunity

I received this for free in exchange for my honest review. I was excited to try this as I’m always looking for easy ways to boost my Immunity during cold and flu season. I love the ease of taking a gummy and appreciated the benefits of the Vitamin C and Zinc added. I did not like the taste however. It was very string and had a sour/tang taste that I didn’t like. But I did feel much better the next day as I was feeling like I was coming down with something the day before I took it.
