Tastes great!

I was chosen to try for free Sambucol Black Elderberry Immunity + Cold and Flu Relief Gummies. They tasted great and easy to take. One thing to critique on is the texture, not quite like a gummy more gummy/jujube texture. But other than that I think it is a good product.

Chewy tasty gummy

The Sambucol gummy with advanced immune support was so flavourful and has right the right chew, not gummy at all like other vitamins. No bad aftertaste, something I would gladly take regularly to get my vitamin C and zinc minerals. Only downside is the shelf price.

Yummy Berry Gummies!

Thanks to @thisisbutterly and @sambucolcanada I got to try Sambucol Black Elderberry Advanced Immune Support Gummies for free in exchange for my honest review. I was given two sample packs containing two gummies per pack. The gummies contain Vitamin C and Zinc to support immunity. You take 1 to 2 gummies a day. The product is vegan and contains 1 gram of sugar per gummy. They are also free of artificial flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, dairy, egg, gelatin, gluten, nuts, soy and wheat. The gummies are very tasty soft chews and not overly sweet. It’s convenient and easy that with two gummies you can get recommended vitamin C daily intake. With only trying four gummies I can’t comment personally regarding immune support, I would need to try for a longer time. These are very yummy, and I would purchase in the future.

Taste good

My daughter enjoyed taking this black elderberry gummies. It tastes so good it's hard to only take 2 per day. This is a good vitamin to help boost her immune system.

Good for vegans

Thank you Butterly and Sambucol for sending me two complimentary sample packages of the "Black Elderberry Advanced Immune Support with Vitamin C & Zinc" vegan gummies to test and review.

I was particularly interested in trying this product from Sambucol because I regularly take Vitamin C and/or Multivitamins in gummy form (anyone else hate swallowing pills as much as I do?)

According to Sambucol these “great tasting" gummies can be “taken daily or when sick to fight the symptoms of colds and flu.” Since I am currently in good health and only 4 gummies total were provided for testing, I cannot confirm or deny the aforementioned claims. I can, however, speak to the taste and texture of the product and I…ultimately did not enjoy either.

The initial taste is actually quite pleasant - a combination of tangy, fruity, and sweet - but quickly turns somewhat sandy towards the end. I suspect that this flavour might work better in the powdered drink version. Also, I like my gummies to have a bit of resistance/chew to them and I find these too soft as they are vegan and not made with gelatin. As someone with a bit of a sweet tooth, I use my gummy intake also as sort of a ‘candy fix’ and the taste and texture of these gummies are too far off the mark from what I consider my perfect gummy vitamin.

Unfortunately this product is just not for me, but hopefully you can obtain a sample and come to your own conclusion!

[If you are interested in trying this product please note that from what I see online, the MSRP is about CDN$15-19 for 30 gummies and Sambucol recommends 3-6 gummies daily per adult, so that is something to consider…]
