Very interesting.

I really enjoyed trying this out.
It was incredibly easy to apply, didn't have a horrible scent and looked great.
I would definitely use it again and certainly tell people about it.

Good for quick cover up

I tried the dark mahogany color root retoucher. It covered my root regrowth perfectly, the color was a rich vibrant color. It felt like dry shampoo. It was easy to apply. Unfortunately, the color would come off on my fingers if I touched my roots. Also tried to apply and then blow dry... didn't work color just disappeared. I would probably buy this product again for quick touch-ups between hair coloring appointments but would not recommend that you use it before a big event.

Easy to apply!

I have quite gray hair, when I sprayed this on, it was kind of cold on my hand. It covered all the gray where I sprayed!! It was great!! It went on easy. The only thing I found was that my hair was hard. I don't put product in my hair normally so it was like I had a lot of hair spray in it. I did love that it covered the gray and I will definitely use it again and again!

Good to get you to your next colour appointment!

I chose Dark Mahogany. It appears purple-ish when sprayed but when applied blends right in. I have tried a few different products, I liked this one as it did not 'rub off'. It is great for touch ups all over (I tend to have more grey on the sides of my head). Application is a bit tricky to cover the hairline area. I found that I could not get a 'natural' look and ended up blending with a Q-tip, which removed the product. So a bit more finicky to do the hairline area. Overall good product and I would recommend!

Quick Fix

After recently receiving my free Schwartzkopf Root Retouching spray I waited a bit to get considerabe amount of grey ....My spray was a shade of mohagney ....It was very easy to use no mess at at and pretty much covered everything that needed to be covered....hair seemed a bit stiff after but other than that no company...If you are in a rush and need a quick fix it’s a good solution....comes off with one wash with no mess at all...

Works as stated

Seeing as how I had recently coloured my hair the previous week I didn't have any roots showing. But I did a test area to try the product. It coloured the hair as required.

Worth a try to hide your greys

I was lucky enough to try this product in the colour Dark Mahogany for free #gotitfree. I have alot of grey roots and usually get my hair dyed every 4 to 6 weeks to manage. I really appreciate any product that can extend my visits to my hair stylist and this product can help.

Pros:
- the spray tip is slim so it allows for more precise allocation than I expected
- the colour deposit is pretty good
- it matches my salon dyed hair (I tested out dark mahogany about a month after my last dye)
- washes off my skin and white bathroom counter (although I cleaned both immediately to avoid staining)
- shampoos out easily
- lasts through workouts
- doesn't leave my roots oily or chalky
- it didn't burn or irritate my scalp

Cons:
- it has a smell similar to a strong hair spray
- it also sprays onto your scalp so close up people will see your coloured scalp (suggest you don't wear your hair back or in style that allows for lots of parts to be seen like multiple braids)
- it makes a mess - cover your clothes with a towel or shirt you don't mind messing up; clean skin and counters right away to be safe
- hard to spray close to your forehead (suggest getting one of those plastic shields that hair stylists use or something that protects you from getting spray all over your forehead, into your eyes or use your hand as a shield)
- I have alot of grey so I expect I would go through the bottle quite quickly if using every day or two (120 g bottle)

Sticky but good in a pinch

I have long balayage hair which my roots are a dark mahogany colour and bottom is platinum blonde.
I do have some greys coming in and that was why I was excited to try this as I have yet to try a touch up colour.
The stickiness of the product on my hair was not cool.
I could feel it in my hair hours later a bit like wet hair spray.
The colour was great if only it went on and stayed on your hair. I was very scared if it rained . And I was also quick to wash it out so that I didn't stain my sheets.
My bathroom was a mess! The spray is very hard to maintain in one spot . The nozzle is easy to clean and doesn't get clogged.
I would buy this as an emergency only.
This brand Schwarzkopf is a great name and one i trust as my own salon and many others use this brand daily.
