The Roots Won

I was so excited to try SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER when I #gotitfree to try from @chickadvisor! The idea that I could keep my blonde looking fresh a little longer between colourings is very appealing to me! The first application didn't go as expected and I saw no difference. I gave the product the benefot of the doubt and thought "maybe I did something wrong". So I was very careful and deliberate the next time I used it and had the same disappointing result. I used it a 3rd time for the same unsatisfactory outcome. I saw no change in the colour of my roots. No lighter blonde effect whatsoever. I will not be buying this product in the future unfortunately...unless it is released in a "new and improved" formula.

Like spray paint for your hair

I received a free trial of light blonde SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER in exchange for my review #gotitfree. It came at the perfect time as my roots were starting to show and I needed something to hide them. This is definitely NOT a product I would ever use again! At first nothing came out of the nozzle so I shook it again and tried for round two. While the spray came out nicely, it looked exactly like spray paint on my hair. The color was a mix of blonde, green, and grey. It looked completely fake and disgusting. I tried brushing it to see if it would blend better, but all I accomplished was ripping my hair out since the consistency is like dry shampoo mixed with hair spray. The whole experience was a disaster. Perhaps the darker colors work better but I'll never use this again, the whole bottle went straight into my trash. I'll keep my roots for now.

Not for me

I was excited to try this product out since I dye my hair but often have my roots grow out and be very visible. I was hoping this product would cover it and make my roots less visible. It applies like spray paint and I found it very hard to not look patchy. The colour didn't match correctly, so it was very obvious that I had put something in my hair. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Yikes

Let me preface this by saying I have more than just a hint of a root. And it’s dark roots with very light hair I might add. But no, it’s certainly not for me. I remember in the 80s there was an infomercial with bald dudes spraying their domes with paint the colour of their hair. I thought this must be very similar, it smells chemically and is very cold which feels like something I don’t want to experience ever again let alone on the reg. It dried quickly but my scalp is immediately irritated and it feels like Halloween hairspray. Sooooo, yeah, thumbs down.

SUCKS.

I just got root retoucher and I hate it. theirs no drictions. it runs and it makes my hair beige. its suppose to be light blonde. I am glad that I got to try. with out having to buy it.
