While the idea of the Diva Cup is great, both sizes were too large for me (and I have children). I know it works for many if not most women so I would recommend giving it a try if you are considering making the switch.
A trick for making it more comfortable, as some find the stem to be bothersome, is to turn the Diva Cup inside out so the stem is in the inside of the cup. Make sure to read the instructions and some reviews first so you can get some hints on how to make it work best for you.

I decided to make the switch from normal pads and tampons over a year ago, and it was an awesome decision! Not only is the Diva Cup convenient for use (12 hours) it's also environmentally friendly. However, I won't lie. The first week was hard to get used to it, after about three months I began to feel a lot more comfortable. Don't dismiss it if it's not working for you right away because there is a real learning curve!

While I recommend this product for many reasons, your health and the environment being the main ones, I also know that periods are confusing and you don't always bleed the same month to month and that sometimes a tampon will forever be superior on those really bad days.

I like to use my DIvaCup at the beginning of my period and end, sometimes I can make it through the whole period but I've had to use linings on occasion. It won't be perfect the first time you use it, and maybe not even the second. You'll probably want #2 even if you haven't had kids but are on the heavy flow side of things. I have #1 and I leaked constantly the first time I used it, I couldn't empty the thing fast enough in the 15mins between each time it filled up. It's not convenient in public places as it's a bit messy to deal with, more so than OB. Just be aware the first time use is a learning experience and even if the package says 12hours leak free protection it might not account for your flow that day.

My period is forever changed. No more being paranoid about leakage, no more changing multiple tampons (or pads) & no more having to walk around with a bunch of tampons. There was a slight learning curve at the beginning but once you're past that, it's smooth sailing. There's no smell, my period is shorter and it's comfortable. The price is a little high but considering it's a one time cost vs. the cost of pads and tampons, it's great.

I have been using the Diva for years. Not only does it save me money (as I no longer have to buy tampons!) but it's good for the environment.

It's even safe enough to wear overnight!

I have to admit it took me a bit to get used to. But after only a few uses, it's no problem to put in and remove.

Trust me. You must own this!

I had been wanting to try The Diva Cup for a while now, but the expensive price tag always scared me away. What if I hated it? Could I afford to take that chance? Well... My only regret is not buying one sooner! The Diva Cup is a fantastic investment. I love the convenience of only having to change it twice a day and not worry about walking up in the middle of the night to change a tampon, or be super uncomfortable wearing a pad. It also is surprisingly a lot less messy then I figured it would be.

It took quite a while to get on board with the diva cup, and there is a definite learning curve to using it but it's really a life changer. I can easily forget I'm even on my period for the majority of the day. I don't have to worry about changing a tampon every 3 hours to avoid dreadful diseases or the ick factor of pads and sitting in a pool of blood all day. It's a bit pricey to start out but if you factor in all the hygiene products you are no longer buying every month it's a good deal.

So my first thoughts of this product is that it's very environmentally friendly however it does cost a bit but we'll worth it.it took a few try to get it in and I worried about it the first few times using it. Once you figure it out its great especially if your the type of person with unpredictable either heavy or almost non existant periods like myself.

Personally I'm not sure what the big hype is with this product - yes, it is good for the environment and I guess it could work out cheaper if your cycle was heavy, saving you on buying tampons and/or pads but I have a lighter flow and I would buy about 4 boxes of tampons a year - at $6 bucks each and this cup is $39 - and although it seems a lot of people don't - it does say you need to replace it once a year or so or risk the plastic breaking down...

Anyway, it's big and awkward and you have to twist it to get it in properly - and if you don't, it leaks :(

Like I said I know it's good for the environment but I'll stick with tampons - or the softcups which are a lot easier to get in and disposable so the 'ick' factor is lower - plus you can have sex with the softcup in - no fuss, no muss :)

I find this is a lot better for the environment! It takes a few tries to figure out how to get it to fit properly, but once you do it is fine. I like that I can leave it unattended for up to 12 hours without any worries. It is a bit pricy, but honestly when you think of all of the pads and tampons you use it saves a lot in the end. It comes with a cute little carrying bag so you can keep it in your purse. It also comes with a pin, which cracks me up I am not sure where I would actually hang it. Any who, I would recommend it to anyone hoping to decrease their footprint while being comfortable during that time of the month! Please note: gets a little complicated if you have long/bedazzled nails. Something to think about!
