Did not like the flavour
I really wanted to like this product for its benefits but I just didn’t like the flavour. Maybe I will purchase in a different flavour and enjoy that more. I did find it gentle and it didn’t burn my mouth tho. My breath was fresh for a while. It just tasted bad while it was in my mouth.
TheraBreath Fresh Breath Icy Mint
I did enjoy using this mouthwash, I have had horrible experiences with gingivitis in the past and most mouthwash just burn my gums and make it hard for me to keep using. This one was really gentle on the gums and had a great taste. The only thing that keeps me from purchasing from this brand is the price but all in all great experience and will highly recommend to others
Comme ci, comme ça
Therabreath Icy Mint definitely lives up its name and I enjoy the minty flavour. I appreciate that it has no dyes, which is evident by it being clear, as well as no alcohol. However I still found that it had a burning feeling in my mouth while I was using it and for a little bit after, but it is not as harsh as I’ve experienced when using other name brands of mouth wash. Instructions were to use a full capful but I found that was too much for my mouth so using about half a capful was better for me. Due to the burning feeling in my mouth I was not willing to try a second capful to gargle it in the back of my throat as the instructions states. The size of the bottle is decent but I don’t think it equates to using two full capfuls every time. Doing so would cause you to go through it rather quickly. As for the effectiveness of freshening my breath, it definitely did the job although I would not say it lasted 12 hours. Using mouthwash is not part of my usual daily routine as bad breath is not an issue for me and Therabreath does not have enough “pros” to convince me to change my routine beyond using this free product so I will not be purchasing the product again
Fresh and clean
Excellent quality product as described. Does not leave a chemical or residue in your mouth after using. Highly recommend as a replacement to typical scope or Listerine, etc..
Very mild tasting.
Thank you @thisisbutterly and @therabreath for this free full sized product to test and review. Firstly, I found the cap to be easier to use than other brands' caps in terms of locking in place on the bottle and drinking from the cap. This mouthwash is very mild compared to others, and even to some toothpaste. If you use this product as directed, I found it lasted about 5 ish hours of “fresh breath”. If you just took a cap full and swished it around, I found that it barely lasted an hour. It does foam up while swishing though. The icy mint flavour was mild but minty, nothing exciting. Not sure I would recommend this product, unless you have specific allergies or want something less intense.
I Wanted to Love This...
I so badly wanted to love this but I unfortunately I didn't. There are several pros but the cons will stop me from buying it.
Pros: Canadian Dental Association validated, no alcohol, no dyes, long-lasting, easy to use
Cons: I really don't like the flavour and it doesn't taste like the "icy mint" I was expecting. The rinse is pricey and with the amount used each time (for rinsing and gargling) the bottle will be gone before you know it.
I think that in all liklihood this is a good product but I won't be buying it.
Too pricey
I received a free sample from #thisisbutterly to test and review. I’ve never heard of this product before and generally use Listerine with no alcohol so was eager to try this as it has no alcohol. As soon as you open the bottle it punches you in the face. It’s hard to gargle with because it burns so much you can only keep it in your mouth for soo long. Does have long lasting freshness. The price point is not worth it. You can get a bottle of the competition 3x the size and about half the price. Wouldn’t recommend.
Smells like Mentos!
In exchange for my honest review, I received a voucher for @therabreath from @thisisbutterly . I have a sensitive mouth so I usually skip the mouthwash. Most alcohol based rinses usually come with a burning sensation, so I was caught off guard when my breath felt minty fresh, and didn't burn. However, I felt that it was too short-lasting. The bottle states that it fights bad breath for 12 hours at a time, but for me, I would say maybe an hour. Mind you, it also states that improvement can be felt within 30 days of continuous use, and it's only been a week, so possibly. The biggest downfall though, is the price. I feel it's too expensive, especially considering there ate many mouthwash options claiming the same effectiveness.
Smell Off Pudding
It's quite expensive for mouthwash. There is a smell from either the product or the bottle, like a new set of tires. I appreciate that there is no alcohol so there is no burning sensation when rinsing.
Ok but expensive
This product works well as a mouth wash, it has a pleasant taste and no burning, the fresh feeling does last quite a long time. However, it is extremely expensive, that alone would prevent me from purchasing this again in the future.
