Great for everyday use. Many colors to choose from. The colors are nice and complements any skin tone. I especially like the shimmer colors. I was really excited about the brush. It's very soft. The mini primer potion is a bonus.
It is an eyeshadow palette having only earth colors. The brush coming with it is really soft, and it also makes easier to apply the eyeshadow. It is a little price but it last for few hours and changes the look of my eyes drastically.
I love it!
A Neutral Every Day Palette that's amazing for bringing out your eyes. Most shades have a little shimmer so that they provide a little more "Glam" to your eyes while still being very subtle. the Brush that comes with it= not that amazing.
One of the BEST things ever.
Every girl should own this. It's all your basics in one.
It has changed the way I pack. This is the only palette you need to take. Leaves more room for shoes.
This palate is on the pricey side at averaging about $48. But you get so much in it, including a brush! You can create so many looks with this palate and easily go from day to night wear. I use Virgin as an all over color when I don't want to really wear makeup. But if I'm just going to school, I'll use Virgin as my highlight & inner corner, Sin on my lid, and naked in my crease. It works great, and is very neutral while still looking like you spent time on it! If you want to do a smokey look, you have TONS of options. Also, a very good range of mattes, glitters, satins, etc. If you love nude looks on eyes, THIS IS A MUST FOR YOU! Now, the brush- I'm not a fan of. I think it creates fallout that I don't have when I use my (Holy Grail) ELF shadow brush. But, then again- for some of the matte colors in the palate it works fine! I hope you love it, and let me know what you think if you get it!! :)
There is nothing that will compare to this Urban Decay Naked Palette. It is a must have staple for your makeup bag. I love every colour. It goes on amazing and the colours are unbelievable. If you don't have this product already please just go out and get it.. your gonna love it. I didn't buy this product right away like everyone else did. I waited to see what other people were saying about it and they were right!
What is the Urban Decay Naked Palette?
For those of you who don't know, the urban decay naked palette is a set of 12 neutral toned eyeshadows. The set includes both matte and shimmery shades. It also comes with a mini urban decay primer potion and an urban decay eyeshadow brush. It retails for 58$ Canadian at Sephora.com.
Quality of the Naked Palette Shadows:
Pigmentation: All of the naked palette shadows have excellent pigmentation, with the exception of creep (second from left in swatch seen above), which is quite sheer for a black eyeshadow, but it is possible to build up the colour to obtain a deeper shade of black if desired.
Staying Power: On their own, the shadows in the naked palette have decent staying power, but I have noticed that they begin to crease after about 5-6 hours wear. However, when used in conjunction with the Urban Decay Primer Potion (or any other primer, i'm sure) that comes with the palette, these shadows appear more vibrant and literally last ALL day long. Just to give an indication, I generally do my makeup before work every morning at about 6 AM and take my makeup off between 9 and 11 PM on average. When I've used the primer potion, these shadows are still just as vibrant as when I put them on and there is no visible creasing.
What I love most about the naked palette:
I love the convenience of the naked palette: I'm a girl who tends to be very neutral with my makeup, so the naked palette gives me literally ever shadow colour I would ever used in one compact palette.
I love the diversity of the naked palette: the combination of matte and shimmery, light and dark colours allows you to create SO many different looks with this one palette. You can create looks that are very natural for work or school, but if you wanted to create a more dramatic eye or a smoky eye for a date or a night out, there are shadows that you can use for that.
My favourite shadows in the naked palette are: Virgin (as an inner corner/ brow bone highlight), Sin (amazing all over lid colour) and Half- Baked (works very nicely in crease and outer corners, also looks very nice as an all over lid colour on darker skin tones).
What I love least about the naked palette:
Packaging: the felt/ velvet material attracts dust and hair very easily and can be difficult to keep clean.
Availability: this palette is very pricey and can also be quite difficult to find, especially since there aren't sephoras everywhere in canada.
The Bottom Line:
For me, the pros of the naked palette far outweigh the cons. It is something that I have used every day since I bought it, and for me, it was completely worth the splurge.
*Just a quick note, in the photo above, the shadows are not swatched with a primer. Used with a primer, they actually appear more vibrant.
I bought this palette after all the hype I heard on the internet. It definitely lives up to the hype, it has every color you'd want in a neutral tone. With that many well pigmented colors, you just need a little bit and its colors you can wear everyday. You can use it for a very neutral look to a smokey look. I love it and its great! Plus it comes with a travel sized primer .. and I never used primer before, now I know why everybody swears by it.
The colors in this Palette are absolutely gorgeous. I love the quality of the shadow it goes on very smoothly and the primer def. does it's job well
