When I was a kid I thought Vaseline lip balm was the best stuff you could use. It wasn't until later in life that I found out that petroleum based products are really not good for your lips. In the past 6 months I've become highly sensitive to many products I use to use around my mouth (including this cocoa butter) and am now only using all natural items. This product definitely doesn't work for me.
I think it is just average as far as things on the market go....My lips felt a mess the entire time I have this on like I ate a bag of chips and have a pound of grease on my lips...but it really does smell good and the package is super cute...just not for me
Picked up a container of Lip Therapy at the checkout out of desperation. Absolutely loved it and immediately replaced all my other lip balms. Leaves your lips so soft, not greasy and waxy.
You can't go wrong with classic vaseline! It's cheap and work well. Provides moisture to my lips and usually makes my lips soft when they're dry. Although if you're going through super dryness that causes flakiness and irritation around the lips, I can't say it fixes that. I would also be careful of applying too much because it can make my lips look too wet and shiny.
First of all I own tons of lip gloss/balms you name it but Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter is my holy grail lip product. I have a mini tub in my car, my purse and my make up kit. I even have the bigger jars around my house. I love the way it makes my lips feel. Soft moist and just a hint of shine. Even my husband and oldest son have their own personal jar. You know how men complain that they don't want their lips shiny but they both love this.
It left my lips feeling super soft though if it's not continuous use your lips dry out pretty quick
I am sold on the Vaseline Lip Therapy Butter! I recently had surgery and my lips were very damaged and dry after. I was told to continue reapplying lip balm to moisturize them. I used another brand of lip balm and found I was continuously reapplying with little to no effect on my lips. I remembered using Vaseline when I was young and my mom recommended I try it to smooth my lips. It actually worked! It was cheap, found at Shopper's for about $5, and effective! I didn't have to reapply as frequently but saw results within a day! If your lips are dry, chapped or damaged, I would strongly recommend using this product!
Pleasantly surprised by how well this lip therapy works. Once you apply it you don't have to re-apply for a long time. Plus I love the cocoa butter flavour.
