didnt work for me
i know some people who tried this product and swear by it but for myself it did not work. i used it as per the instructions but it did not make a difference. the smell is pleasant which was a plus and the feel of the foam was nice as well and not sticky. i really wish it would have worked for me but it didnt. i will continue using for another few months incase it just takes longer to notice a difference for some people
Didn't work for me, But may work for you!
I was so excited to try this product due to thinning hair for a while now. The packaging it is in is very nice. I loved how it came in 2 smaller cans instead of one bigger can. The smell of this product was very light and did not linger in any way. The lid of the can doubles as a measuring cup which is awesome! This makes it so much easier to measure exactly the right amount of product for each use.It foams up very easy when you press the nozzle to get it out of the can.It is easy to apply and dries in no time. There was no itch or any kind of discomfort on my scalp at all from this product. I used this for 3 months and really had high hopes that this would work for me but it just did not work for me at all. I was so disappointed. I know this product does work well for others and they will forever use this product. I wish i could of had great results because my thinning hair is not something I like to deal with on a daily basis. I am so grateful I was able to try this product for free #GotItFree from #ChickAdvisor and #Women'sRogainFoam5%
Did Not Work For Me
I tried it for a bit, and not only found that it didn’t make my hair thicker or fuller, but it seemed to make my hair thin out even more. I discontinued before it was able to get worse. It may work for some people but 5is product did not work for me
Nice product
I was trying this product for free thanks to chickadvisor. I was trying for a few months and I like it. I noticed a little new baby hairs. I love it. I will buy again.
Don’t cheap out when it comes to Rogaine!
I’ve been on IV chemotherapy for 2+ years for autoimmune disease and started to notice that my hair was getting really thin in the middle area, especially in my “side bang” part that all of my friends know me for. I went to see my Dermatologist and she recommended that I start an iron supplement and Rogaine 5% (low or even low-ish iron can cause hair loss in women FYI). I looked everywhere online and decided that Rogaine was too expensive and I would buy some “no-name” minoxidil solution. It didn’t foam like it was supposed to and it was extremely sticky, like hair gel. I hated using it. I almost jumped out of my chair when I saw that ChickAdvisor was hosting a Women’s Rogaine campaign, so I applied and was thankfully accepted. I’m happy that I was able to try the real Rogaine out and here’s why I will NEVER cheap out on Rogaine again ...
- The texture is like a normal hair mousse which makes application a breeze
- It’s not sticky!! Not feeling like I had to take a shower after applying made such a huge difference in my compliance!
- Once a day formula instead of 2/day with no-name.
- No strong smell! The knock off version had an awful smell that gave me headaches.
The Rogaine is far superior to the knock off in every way, and I firmly believe that’s why I was able to stick with it. When you’re looking at saving a few dollars vs. Effectiveness, it’s an easy choice.
With the ease of application I was able to see results with the Women’s Rogaine that I just didn’t see with the knock off. I’m happy to report that I’ve noticed some new growth already at 3 months, and I’m looking forward to seeing the results at the 6 month mark.
I highly recommend this product if you are suffering with female pattern hair loss. It’s easy to use and works!

Cannot Believe it really works!!!
For years I have heard about Rogaine for men but never for women so when I got the opportunity to be a tester for the women’s version I was really excited...and it turned out I was right to be excited. I had a real hard time with thinning hair in certain areas and tried a bunch of pills and serums for thinning hair with so-so results, I usually had better growth in areas that were already growing and stronger nails. With Women’s ROGAINE however I felt it did help regrow hair in those areas. My initial hair growth after about 3 weeks in was soft and whispy like baby hair, but by month two the hair at the root was stronger. I was hoping that it might thicken up my other strands as well but must admit I did not see noticeable change in that.
I found Women's ROGAINE very easy to use because it comes out in a mousse(like hair mousse) and you apply it all over pretty easily, the only thing is your hair does feel and look weighed down and not fresh, I would use it in the evening because of this.
I was very satisfied with the results I saw and have recommend Women's ROGAINE to friends and family members already, but made sure they understood that it is no overnight miracle and you have to apply it consistently to see results and to get your money’s worth.
Women's Rogaine
I received Women's Rogaine to try fir free to review. I was excited to try it as I've had thinning hair for some time I just sort of excepted it and never did anything about it. This gave me an opportunity to try it for free for 3 months and see if might help me. In the instructions it listed that those with High Blood pressure speak with their Doctor/Pharmacist before using the product, I do, so I did. I was told just to make sure I didn't use more than called for. I was very careful to do just that. It is very easy to use and you don't need a lot. It was simple to use, wasn't smelly, greasy, sticky, or strong. All things I was concerned about. I found it very light compared to any foam or mousse hair product I've used. It didn't feel heavy or change the way my hair felt once it dried. I'm glad there weren't too many limitations for using it along with hair care products etc. None of those really effected me. I chose to use it at night usually before bed as that's when I have a little more time in the day. I applied it to dry hair. I did find some times the foam would go watery as I applied it to my hair which made finishing the application a little bit awkward to get out of cap. I was patient and held out to the very ended before doing my review. Unfortunately I really haven't seen any real change, There's a tiny amount of difference, nothing that anyone would notice. I really hoped this would be an answer to my problem. I do have some left from a few days over the 3 months that I missed and will use it up to see if anything more happens. It was a rather hot, humid Summer here and I'm not sure if sweating did effect my results, as it could have have been a reason it didn't work for due to perspiration. I don't drive so I walk and take the bus which means I spend much time outside and this year I definitely wasn't able to stay cool. Though it didn't make a real difference for me, I would still recommend giving it a try if you experience the appropriate types of thinning or hair loss as it may work for some and not others as some products like this do. I'm also glad I had the opportunity to try it for myself, especially at no cost to me. I may continue to try it for awhile longer as it can take longer than 3 months to see improvement, up to 6 months was noted in the info. The expense will probably be the main deciding factor at this stage, in trying it on a more long term basis.
Expensive, meeey and time consuming
I have been experiencing thinning at my crown for years. I had read about Rogaine for women and was excited to see if it could reverse my problem.
First off it’s more expensive then the exact same male version which isn’t fair.
It’s a foam so it’s difficult to apply and actually target the affected area. I found a lot got on my hair and not my scalp as needed.
It left my hair crunchy and greasy looking. Defeating the purpose and actually made the thinning more pronounced visually.
I applied every night and made sure I didn’t have any nice pillow cases because it does stain.
The other big problem I had was it stripped the dye in my hair. So if you have died hair it will take out the colour.
If it was a liquid it may work better for application and actually get more in the area needed.
I didn’t notice any noticeable difference. I still have the same thin spots.
I wouldn’t recommend it unless cost was improved and it was easier to apply.
The foam really works!
I received this product free for testing purposes. Women’s ROGAINE helped reduce/slow my hair loss and helped regrow my hair within 3 months of testing this product. Initially, I did not notice any difference in my hair, but after some time, my hair started to regrow. It made my hair thicker now. In the beginning, I found it difficult to understand and follow the instructions to use the product, but since I had to use it everyday, it became more easy to use. This product is similar to the thinning hair/hair regrowth treatments that I used before, but this is easier to use because it is a foam. I would recommend Women's ROGAINE to my family, especially when they are also experiencing hair thinning and hair loss.
