Horrid!!!

That was chicken? That was sauce? Only positive aspect of this mess was the packaging and the promise of a tasty snack. What a colossal disappointment. Chicken had spongy texture; sauce tasted like cardboard. Never again.

Chicken or sponge???

WORST CHICKEN IVE EVER HAD!! IF YOU WANT SPEND 30 MINUTES PREPARING SPONGE COVERED IN SAUCE THEN THIS IS THE PRODUCT FOR YOU. DO YOU KNOW HOW DISAPPOINTED I WAS TO COME HOME AFTER STARVINNG ALL DAY AND TO SPEND 30 miNUTES WAITING FOR THIS CRAP!!! NEVER AGAIN. WONG WING YOU HAVE BETRAYED ME.

I have only ever had restaurant General Tao Chicken so this was quite a change. The sauce was runnier, paler, and all I could taste was sugar with brown sugar being the third ingredient. The spice was there as an afterthought, with the ginger in it coming through. If you are used to the store-bought formula then it's not a bad product. Each package comes with two servings of chicken and sauce, so you can be creative with how you eat it. I poured mine over rice. Overall, I was expecting a thicker, spicier Tao so it was a bit of a disappointment and the amount of sweetness I found overwhelming.
