Well lets just say that I absolutely love this video workout system. I must also be up front and use full disclosure I bought it off Kijiji for only $10 however I was preparing to purchase it on-line for a steal at $40 and by happenstance or dumb luck was shopping for another dresser to match my bedroom furniture and by chance on a whim searched for a few other items I had been looking to update or acquire. Either way that was just after my 39th birthday this past September. I have decided to celebrate my 40th in a big way not with a big waist. I am having a blast while even doing the workout it my highest of heels
I love testing home workout videos and circulating them in my fitness routine, however sometimes it starts to jade you towards certain product lines. When I saw the infomercial for this video I was just getting interested in tango and salsa dancing and had started taking lessons at a local pub. The idea of working out to such lively music and incorporating what I had learned in class into my workout had me very excited to try it out. Besides, I find my bum to be a little flat and hate doing squats...so off to my computer I went to place the order.
The DVDs arrived with terrific bonus items such as a resistance band, travel cards, etc. and I was very anxious to try it out. My initial reaction to the tummy tuck program was that I was going to die or get ripped abs, which is a great response if you think about it. However, the bread & butter of this series is supposed to be "bum bum" and "cardio axe". These are the programs that were advertised to be dancing productivity.
While cardio axe did get my heart rate up, the moves were quite lacklustre and I was very bored with the program. I pushed myself to complete it, easier with the running progress bar at the bottom of the screen, but was not working as hard as I would have had I actually enjoyed it. The Latin music used for the program is also not what I expected from the infomercial.
Bum bum leads you through a series of focused exercises that assist in building up the major muscles in the bum, obliques, and tummy. While effective and in many cases challenging, I still felt mislead regarding the energy level of the program and the music selection.
Since the first 2 months of owning the program I have only used bum bum twice and cardio axe a handful of times when i was too bored of other options.
The picture to the left is from the Beachbody website and here's what they say that other workouts haven't worked because..."You've been training bass ackwards. Most people think that the butt is just one muscle. But it's not. It's three muscles—the gluteus medius, maximus, and minimus. And that's why Leandro Carvalho's million-selling Brazil Butt Lift is GUARANTEED to get your booty bikini-ready in just 60 days or your money back. With Leandro's PROVEN TriAngle Training breakthrough, Brazil Butt Lift helps you hit these three critical muscles from every angle with fun exercises drawn from ballet, capoeira, and Afro-Brazilian dance. The result? With Brazil Butt Lift, you get the tight, lifted booty you can't wait to show off!" Ok so like I said in my Shakeology review. My entire life before having children I was always involved in sports and very much in shape; however, after having 3 children I realized that getting in shape wasn't going to be as easy as it use to be. I tried gym memberships, diets, several workout DVDs. I could usually lose all but 10lbs of the baby weight and after 3 it really added up! So I had been seeing a lot about the Brazilian Butt Life. I was super interested because I always had a "bubble butt" and it wasn't so bubbly anymore! So after looking up reviews on Youtube I decided to give it a shot. I wasn't expecting much so my package arrived and I started unboxing everything. So it comes with 3DVDs, Booty Makeover Guide: Determine your butt type and find the best workout strategy to transform your bum bum, Booty Makeover Calendar: Schedule workouts for lifting YOUR butt type, Fat-Burning Food Guide: Slim down with this easy-to-follow meal plan, TriAngle Training Workout Cards: Use them to work out on the go, Measurement Tracker Card and Tape Measure: Track your sexy progress, and strength resistance band. So I immediately determined my butt type and workout strategy, measured myself, grabbed the calendar and started my workout! So finally I made it through my workout...I'm red faced, sweaty, and had to push pause a couple times to make it through the workout! I couldn't believe it but it felt GOOD!!! I didn't realize what a intense workout it actually was! Every workout I'm pouring sweat, red faced, and trying to catch my breath! I have followed the workouts for 30days now and these are my results so far...STOMACH: 2.5 INCHES, HIPS: 1.5 INCHES, BUTT: 1.5 INCHES, THIGHS: 1 INCH OFF EACH THIGH. My stomach is flat again! I love this workout so much I'm definitely continuing!!!
