Breyers Double Churn Banana Cream Pie Ice Cream

This flavour was a huge hit!! Completely different from any other ice cream I've tried! I would definately recommend this rich bowl of goodness to anyone. The banana tase is not over whelming and the texture is amazingly rich. No problems here finishing the bowl.

This has to be my favourite out of the three flavours. It has a hint of french vanilla and banana which wasn't strong, but just enough to taste the flavour. I'm afraid it'll finish faster than I expected -- I will definitely buy this package soon! The best part: I like the little bits of crumbs in the banana flavoured ice cream.

I would have to say that bananas are one of my favourite fruit, so I was really curious and interested to see if this ice cream flavour would deliver. While I do not like Banana Cream Pie, the Breyers Ice cream was amazing. The banana flavour was subtle and natural and I also liked the graham cracker bits in it. The texture of this ice cream was really fluffy and smooth and creamy, definitely worth trying.

I have to admit, like many others, I was apprehensive about this flavour! But, also very curious! Bryers Double Chrun Banana Cream Pie Ice Cream was delicious! The banana taste was not too over powering and it wasn't too sweet either. I really liked the bits of "crust" in the ice cream. The texture was smooth and creamy, the way ice cream should be!

An excellent alternative to boring vanilla or chocolate!

Breyers Double Churn Banana Cream. I was worried since previous experiences on banana flavoured products are overbearing in scent and taste. Let me say, MMMMMMM..... the banana flavour is subtle but sweet, the graham pieces was like eating a pie in the mid of the summer! I hosted a girl's nite in, and though 2 out of 3 really enjoyed this, the other simply isn't a banana fan. We also created smoothies out of this ice cream and it tasted really good!
For a fruity taste with ice cream satisfaction, I praise Breyers on this Banana-licious dessert!

I was pleasantly surprised by this! I was worried that the banana flavor might be too overpowering. I love the taste of ice cream and wanted to be able to taste that as well. Well it wasn't overpowering at all! It was just the right amount. Just perfect. It was very smooth and creamy. A wonderful treat especially on a hot day. Just wonderful!

I was a bit hesitant in trying this flavour even though I enjoy banana-flavoured things, I adore banana-flavoured popsicles and liked the banana-flavoured medicine that I had to take once as a child. For some reason though, Banana Cream Pie just seemed kind of odd for an ice cream flavour. I am glad that I got over my aversion to the idea as this flavour tasted really good! It was a nice smooth texture and I also liked how there was a ribbon of the pie crust running throughout the ice cream, it added a nice pop of flavour. The banana flavour itself was nice and refreshing, though I wish the flavour was a bit stronger, it was a bit too mild in intensity to me. Definitely a yummy and unique flavour and I will buy again for sure!

My bias: I don't typically like or eat bananas, BUT I love pie:)

Pros: For banana lovers, this ice-cream actually tastes like bananas and it's quite light so that by the end of the bowl, there is not an over powering banana after-taste.

Cons: I didn't like the graham bits. It didn't remind me of pie crust, rather, they were just little granules that made the texture of the ice-cream kind of grainy. Normally I like some crunch in ice-cream treats, but this just didn't hit the mark for me - there wasn't a crunch so much as a sand type of feeling.

Overall, this wasn't my fave and I wouldn't buy it again. My children ate it and didn't like it either which is saying something! My son loves bananas, but didn't like the bits in it. My daughter also didn't like it nor did either of them take a second bite.

So I won't be pulling this one off the shelves.

I have to say, this one for me was definitely my least favourite of the the 3 flavours that I got to try with the Product Review Club. I am not a fan of banana flavoured products especially banana flavoured candy and cough syrup. It just has this weird fake banana taste normally - not at all like what a real banana tastes like.

With that being said, Breyers Banana Cream Pie has certainly exceeded my expectations. While I won't claim to say that I love this flavour or would buy it again, I will say that it was much more pleasant that I expected. For one thing, it tasted like REAL banana (not like the cough syrup flavour stuff). So if you like banana products you should love this one. I also liked that this had a crunch to it. I guess that would be the crust of the pie. One thing I didn't really like though was that I thought this was supposed to be extra creamy. I didn't find it to be as creamy as other Breyers Extra Churned flavours. I thought there was more of a milk solids taste to it.

To be sure, this was definitely better than I expected and if I liked banana products I would absolutely buy it again.

I was very excited to be chosen as one of the reviewers for the 3 new Breyers ice cream flavours. The ice cream party kit was very well presented, with 3 small bowls and 3 spoons to share the wonderful goodness with friends.

Double Churn Banana Cream Pie was the first flavour we tried. It's funny how many reviewers mentioned the dreaded childhood banana-flavoured medicine; that's exactly what I was thinking about when we were scooping out the ice cream! I'm not a fan of banana-flavoured anything at all. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The creamy texture is balanced very nicely with the graham cracker crust bits. The banana flavour is so subtle that if I hadn't known, I don't think I would have guessed it was banana. It's not overly sweet, which makes it a pleasure to eat.

The price is perhaps a little high, as others have mentioned, and I don't think I would go out of my way to buy this flavour, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it.
