great may, but ya i suggest airing it out for a couple days before actually using it
First thing, don't buy this mat with the expectation of going to class with it that day. I did and it almost killed me. The smell of the polyurethane and rubber is enough to make anyone sick. It took about 1.5 days of being aired out before it wasn't overwhelming but there's still a smell to it. All face to the floor poses are a bit intense with the smell. But the mat itself is beautiful. It doesn't budge, and neither do your feet if they're directly on it.
It's a bit expensive, but it's definitely the best mat I have ever purchased. I would only go this route if you're serious about your practice and not just trying something out.
