Le Sélect Bistro - Toronto

This restaurant has become my second home! There is nothing that makes me happier than to spend a weekend brunch or a weekday/weekend dinner at Le Sélect. Whether it's a sunny day spent on the front patio (they also have a private, garden patio in the back) or a rainy afternoon spent lounging in the restaurant - I couldn't be happier. I have tried EVERYTHING on the menu and I have not been disappointed in the least. The must have is their almond croissant (they get it fresh from Thuet bakery) with your latté. If you are a fan of foie gras, don't hesitate in ordering the french toast with foie gras, poached pear and brandy maple syrup. It's heavenly. The omelette is excellent as well - and how can we forget the croque monsieur?? The biggest I've ever seen. The charcouterie and cheese plates are the best. Wine selection is excellent as is the imported beer menu. Dinner menu consists of great cassoulets, game plates and mussels.
The price point is extremely reasonable for the service and quality of food. I feel like I've been transported to France everytime I'm a guest at this restaurant.
