Wasabi Sabi - Winnipeg

This is by far my most favorite restaurant in Winnipeg. The ambiance is very trendy, and modern. It has a Tokyo-hip atmosphere decorated in hammered steel and cherry blossom cut-outs. It is suggested that you make reservations, however I have gotten in many a time without one. Another big bonus is that there is a huge parking lot, unlike the Broadway location. The food itself is absolutely delicious. It’s a shame that I'm a regular customer, because I usually order only my favorites, probably missing out on many other amazing dishes.

I usually get the mango prawn appetizer. THE MOST delicious appetizer. I know no one that doesn't love it!! All of the sushi rolls are generously filled with the freshest fish. I took my boyfriend there for his first time as a treat and he told me that he would need many rolls because he ate a lot. We ended up ordering 6 rolls for the two of us, and he was getting full after having only the appetizer and about 6 individual pieces (the equivalent of approximately one roll) We had plenty to take home afterwards (not that I minded.)

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that are even suitable for people who don’t eat fish. The sashimi is to die for, the rolls are exceptional and I’m getting hungry just writing this review. I will most definitely be dining there this weekend!
