This is the perfect starter book as an intro to Korean. If you already know Hangeul, then it will be even easier to dive into. The first chapter introduces Hangeul and a bunch of vocabulary words for practice. The words are just there for practice and to show the different characters. It can look kind of scary, but it doesn't obligate you to know all of them. The chapters are very gradual in the sense that they build appropriately from chapter to chapter. The second chapter is greetings and profession vocabulary. The book does a really good job at presenting the information consistently and sticking to the topic. The chapters don't veer far from their subject except maybe to showcase a grammar point or introduce some new words. In this way, the book never feels overwhelming and it easy to gain confidence.
