I received Adrien Gagnon Super Energex for free through the Product Review Club. Each box contains 20 ampoules. Retail price $12.49 a box. It markets itself as "an energizing tonic that fights fatigue and helps increase resistance to stress. Fast and sustained action". I took mine with a glass of water. You can dilute with water or fruit juice they recommend taking it in the morning. You can use the product daily for a month. Upon opening I did not find the scent even remotely appealing. I decided to use an ampoule in a glass of water. The smell and taste just did not mix well. It tastes like plastic and leaves a strange after taste. I felt a bit naseous after drinking. I would not recommend this product nor will I use it again. My friend said she would try using it in a smoothie. Perhaps that will do a better job at masking the Energex.

Thanks ChickAdvisor for sending this product out for me to try out. As soon as I received it in the mail and opened it up, I went through the ingredient list and it contains parabens. I am not very pleased about this.
I tried an ampoule diluted in the a cup of water in the morning around 5:30 AM and I felt like it did not do that much, energy wise. I believe this is just a placebo effect. The taste for me is bearable, but the fact that it contains harmful preservatives is off putting. I will not be repurchasing this product or recommending it to friends and family, be honest.

I got this product from ChickAdvisor to try for free. After trying it I can say that I don't think I will be purchasing it. It had a weird taste even when watered down or mixed with juice. It similarly left an unpleasant aftertaste. It didn't make me feel any less exhausted either. Really disappointed with the fact that it contained paraben(s), especially as Adrien Gagnon products are marketed as 'natural'.

thank you chick advisor for the chance to try before you buy. I will not be purchasing this in the future. I work in a demanding job and tried this as I have had other energy enhancers. this tasted horrible and did nothing to boost the energy level. sorry but not for me.

Thanks to chick advisor I got to try these free. Thank god because I would not want to waste my money on them. These super energex has to be the worst tasting it reminds me of an old farm would last(if you can believe that) and the after taste stays in your mouth for a long time.It says there is an orange taste but I didn't taste that at all., As far as energy goes i did not get any extra of that. I spent more time on the toilet, It sure got my bowels moving.

I have not in the past tried any energy enhancing products (other than coffee, of course). Looking at the ingredients in the product, I appreciated the vitamin B, but was concerned that there were parabens in the product. These sorts of energy drinks are not regulated, so you are not really sure about what is in them. I first tried this product the day after a particularly busy day - dissolved an ampule in a glass of water. The taste and look of the resulting liquid was off-putting. That first day, I did not feel any more motivated or less stressed than usual. The second day, I tried the ampule in a glass of juice and still was not happy with the taste - again I did not feel it lived up to the claims made. I would not recommend this product, but I did appreciate that the Product Review Club gave me the opportunity to try th Adrien Gagnon Super Energex.

I was sent Adrien Gagnon Super Energex as a free trial from Chick Advisor. I was initially very excited as I drink coffee regularly and sometimes even energy drinks, so I thought this was going to be a great alternative. My first thought when I opened the ampoule, was that it stunk very bad and I was scared to take the first sip, but I pressed on and honestly I can't stand the taste. It's really hard to describe it, but it is not pleasant at all. At first I tried to dilute it with a large cup of water thinking the taste wouldn't be as prominent but I was wrong. It just meant I had to taste it longer, so the next time I drank it, I added it to a shot glass and just put a tiny bit of water so that I could take it down it one gulp. That was better, but I still found I had the gross after taste and needed to rinse my mouth out. I personally do not like this at all and never found any difference in my fatigue. I just think this is not the right product for me. Maybe others will like it very much, but I will probably never purchase it again. I do appreciate the opportunity to test it though.

I should start with saying that I'm always skeptical about 'energy' products and supplements, but I was willing to give this a try. The product promises to have 'fast and sustained actions' to 'help increase resistance to stress' and promises to help with 'fatigue and exhaustion', 'lack of energy' and promises 'sustained physical work' (these are all direct statements from the website). This is based on the ingredients which are a complex of B vitamins, Kola nut (which has some caffeine) and ginseng. You are to take the ampule and dilute it in water and drink it expecting (based on what they've stated) immediate and long-lasting effects. The taste is unappealing, metallic and tastes like a crushed up vitamin.

However, there is really no basis to their claims that I have found - First and foremost, how would this 'increase resistance to stress?' That simply is a tagline with no validated support. Additionally, the onset of action of B vitamins when consumed is not immediate, nor has ginseng's 'benefits' been shown to be immediate. The only 'immediate' effects one might expect may be from the Kola nut, although they even state that the caffeine content is minimal.

I did a sort of experiment with this product, substituting it in for my coffee in the morning, and I had a friend help me with providing me unlabelled beverages, one of which would contain the product, and other other was a placebo (just juice). There was overall no difference that I noticed after trying the entire sample box provided, except for the fact that since I had missed my morning coffee, I was more irritable and more tired.

Overall, this product is not worth the price, and I would caution others into buying this product and similar 'energizing' products as they may in fact be more detrimental to your health than helpful. These are unregulated products that may contain any number of harmful ingredients which they are not obligated to report.
