Wow this stuff really works!

I have this patch of eczema that I have had for a few years. Some days it does not bother me whatsoever but other days it really flares up and is so itchy. I have gotten prescription cream in the past which relieves for a bit but I have to keep reapplying the cream.

After the first application in the morning of Aveeno Eczema care the itch was relieved. I mean completely inch free the entire day 8-9 hours! I thought it was to good to be true. I applied again at night and no irritation. I applied this product for 5 days on my foot and have not had a flare up for 2 weeks now. It’s been incredible. The patch of skin is still discoloured but not itch or symptoms.

The only thing that took some getting used to was the texture of the balm. It’s has the unique texture that is not really greasy but when applying you feel like it is not absorbing into the skin or not going to work but it does. There is no smell and it is quite thick, so not a lot is needed at one application. The jar is pretty big so I anticipate this will last awhile.

Not for me

The size of the container was great. I was not ready for the vasalin like consistency. I could not get it to absorb and then my cloths were sticking to me. I didn't find that it helped the itching. I would not buy this.

Still Itchy!

I was very excited to try this product because 3/4 people in my family suffer from eczema and dry winter skin. Unfortunately, this balm didn't work as well as I'd hoped. My 13 yo refused to use it after a few days because she said it made her eczema spots feel even itchier than before. I found it was ok, but not any better than other regular creams and lotions I use regularly. #igotitfree

Fantastic stuff

My Dad has eczema and extremely dry skin. We have tried many different creams and this one appears to work the best. His skin flakes off and this seems to put moisture back in his skin.

This eczema care itch relief balm really works! I have two patches of eczema, one on my face and one on my body. I had relief on the first day trying it and was almost completely gone within a week. My eight year old daughter has had eczema since she was a baby. The itching would get terrible, especially at night while trying to sleep. The balm has made a huge improvement in her life because she doesn't itch anymore as long as we apply it everyday. It's a huge relief to have her fall asleep easily. She has very sensitive skin and the balm wasn't irritating to her skin. The jar is large and it goes a long way, both of us have been using it for about two weeks and have only made a small dent in the jar. It is definitely worth the price and I would recommend it to anyone with eczema without hesitation. #gotitfree #tryAveenoEczema

Great value, would buy again!!

I am so glad I was chosen to review this product. I never had skin issues before but suddenly I became allergic to certain things and started getting eczema on my hands and feet. This product is pretty amazing, great value you get a huge jar full of the balm. Very light scent. It is very moisturizing and lasts for a few washes. Which is very important to me as I wash my hands a lot! The only thing is the fact that it is a balm, the texture is a bit tough to get used to. I like the lather of lotion as it makes me feel like it is really moisturizing. The sense of feeling hydrated/moisturized could be improved but I guess since it isn't a lotion or cream its how it is. No itch, but instead a tingling burn. A no go for my hands.

I was really excited about this product offering and even more so, when I was selected to review it #gotitfree through Chick Advisor.

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me as instead of clearing my eczema, it actually irritated my skin and left my hands tingling with a burning sensation. That being said, I'm sure this product is great and suitable for others.

I'm sad it didn't work as I absolutely love the Aveeno brand. I love the packaging and the size they give you for the price. It's really affordable. It's also really hard to find a cream that doesn't have a smell, so I was happily surprised by this balm. The texture is also fantastic as it is smooth and a little goes a long way with it. My hands felt soft upon first applying, but I can't say it doesn't feel greasy ... and like I mentioned, I had to wash the balm off as it makes my hands feel like they are burning in all the spots I usually have eczema flare ups.

I so badly wanted to love this product, but it just didn't work for me.

Ah-mazing

Got this free as a sample. I have mild eczema but my toddler has moderate to severe eczema depending on the weather and her diet. I tried it on her during her worst flare ups and the very next day I saw results. And within 3 days it was almost all gone. I will add the pictures I took of her progress in chronological order so you can see the results for yourself. This product is amazing. Strong enough for bad flare ups and mild enough for a toddler. I usually use the baby aveeno for her but ran out so just used this as the ingredients were mostly the same and did the trick. I will def recommend.

J'ai reçu le baume anti-démangeaison Soin de l'Eczéma d'Aveeno gratuitement pour le tester. J'étais bien contente parce que, bien que je fasse rarement des plaques d'Eczéma (mais ça arrive parfois), j'ai la peau très sèche et j'ai souvent des démangeaisons. Ça pique, ça tiraille, et parfois même, ça pèle!

Depuis quelques jours maintenant, je teste le baume. J'en applique le soir, avant d'aller au lit, et le lendemain, ma peau semble plus souple, plus rebondie, plus nourrie. Je n'ai presque plus de problème de petites peaux mortes sur mes jambes et autour de mon nez (#LesZonesÀProblèmes). Mais la plus grosse amélioration que j'ai vue, c'est au niveau de l'inconfort due à la séchesse. Les démangeaisons ont beaucoup diminuées.

Pour ce qui est du produit en lui même, la texture du baume est très épaisse, mais il s'applique très facilement. Il laisse un fini plutôt mât sur la peau, mais le baume reste un peu collant après l'application. Toutefois, il forme une barrière efficace entre la peau et l'extérieur, ce qui semble limiter les agressions dues au froid et au manque d'humidité dans l'air.

Soothe, non grease and fragrance free!

I've been using Aveeno Eczema Care Itch Relief Balm for a week now. It is not a miracle cream that will heal your eczema, but it is a very gentle, non grease cream that will soothe you flare ups. The best part... It's fragrance free!! This cream is great for my kids sensitive skin.
