Not my favorite dry shampoo. It left some white residue in my dark brown hair and the scent was a bit too strong for me. Might work better for blondes. I prefer the original.

Disappointed. I have thin, highlighted blonde hair. I have used other Batiste dry shampoos before and thought they were ok - but this one advertises as XXL Volume which I was excited about. In the end it was definitely not worth the purchase. It was actually pretty heavy in my hair and was almost impossible to brush out. As soon as it dries it hardens and literally matted my hair. I didn't have this problem with the other ones I tried? I ripped out a bunch of the (already) thin hair I have trying to brush it through. Not impressed.

The Batiste XXL volumizing dry shampoo definitely absorbs oil in the hair VERY well and helps me avoid hair washing for days on end. It's especially awesome for updo's - if you really want that extra lift. The scent is awesome and I got my bottle at Winners for under $6!

Having tried MANY dry shampoos on the market (Bumble and Bumble, Oscar Blandi, Tresemme), I find the Batiste dry shampoo to be good performance, however I did notice a few qualities about this product that will hinder my re-purchase.

1. The product leaves fine hair sticky- almost as if you used a light hold hairspray
2. The product DEFINITELY shows on darker hair (even when brushed out and dispersed evenly)
3. The product has a dusty appearance on black hair

Ultimately, if you are thinking about trying this product, please ensure that you have lighter hair with strands that are not too fine and I'm sure you'll love it.

I have used several different types/brands of dry shampoo. I like to use them to freshen up my roots from time to time. They all create a more thick feel to the hair. They are great to use to add texture the hair & hold for up-do's etc. That being said this product is no better/no worse than others. If it's on sale I would buy it to have but no great advantage over other brands for less dollars.

It's not as noticable on the hair especially blond hair however look at the base of your brush when you run it through your hair. Its disgusting so if I didn't need to wash hair on Day 1sure must on Day 2. Cheaper and same results can be accomplished by using the age old baby powder. Which in addition will keep more of those hard working dollars in your wallet.

Maybe I am picky or frugal, but it does cost more than other brands in the store. It works, but I did have to use alot of it to do the job, and I felt it left my hair crunchy. Great for a fun party night, but not to work.

This particular formula of the Batiste Dry Shampoo is not my favourite. I found that since my hair is thin that this dry shampoo is too heavy. The scent is okay, becomes overpowering after a while.

This dry shampoo smells fantastic and I really want to love it but the texture is something that turns me off. If you are looking for something that does add texture and volume this definitely does just that, however as a dry shampoo the gritty feeling it leaves in my normally super soft hair is something that drives me crazy. I'm super picky about my dry shampoo and unfortunately this is one that i tend to skip over when picking out my hair products for the day.

I found this made my hair sticky and hard to manage.

Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume Big & Bouncy was just average for me. It's common knowledge that this brand is an innovator in the dry shampoo category, however I was let down. The smell is amazing, it actually does get rid of "grease" and "dirt, and much to my surprise it actually was great at giving me volume. So, why the average rating? All of these wonderful perks came at a disappointing expense - white misty coating on hair. This dry shampoo leaves that awful white powdery look on hair. I'm not sure if all 4 types leave it, but the volume one definetly does. I have tried using less sprays, leaving it for less time before brushing through, more time before brushing through and even spraying at different distances. It doesn't work. I do have black hair though so maybe the product is just not suited for darker hair? Overall, the smell and effectiveness I great but I can't get past having grey roots. I'd rather tie my hair up or take a shower!
