Good sunscreen that isn’t too greasy

I really like this sunscreen! It has a faint smell, sort of earthy, but not offensive or strong. The packaging is an attractive matte teal colour. I like the spray mechanism—it means that I don’t accidentally over-apply—but I wish that the mist wasn’t so fine, and that it provided more coverage. I felt like I had to keep spraying and spraying to get enough product on my arms for even coverage. It does feel a bit greasy on the skin but it absorbs quicker than a lot of other sunscreens that I’ve tried. I like that it is safe for sensitive skin!

Great Protection, But Spray Needs Improvement

I’ve always trusted Blue Lizard for gentle, effective sun protection, and was excited to try the spray version for convenience. While the formula is great for sensitive skin and provides broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, the spray application wasn’t as efficient as I hoped🥺. It dispersed more into the air than onto the skin, making it feel like we needed to use a lot more per application. The can ran out quickly, which was disappointing. That said, I still appreciate that it’s a mineral sunscreen made with soothing organic aloe and is reef-friendly with no Oxybenzone or Octinoxate—safe and reliable for the whole family.

Great for outdoors, just rub it in well

Tried the Blue Lizard mineral spray recently and really liked how easy it is to apply — super quick and convenient. It feels clean, not sticky, and stays on well, even when I’m outside for hours. Just a heads up: it does leave a bit of a white cast if you don’t rub it in properly, especially on medium skin tones. Not a dealbreaker, but something to know. Overall, solid sunscreen for beach days, hikes, or when you’re in a rush and still want protection.

Smooth Feel

I got to try the Blue Lizard Sensitive sunscreen. It has a nice swivel lock to open the container and it's easy to spray. There is an almost unnoticeable scent and it goes smoothly onto my skin. You can barely tell you are using sunscreen.

We tried the Blue Lizard Sensitive Spray SPF 50 and appreciated that it’s gentle on the skin—great for sensitive skin types and free from irritating ingredients. The spray application is convenient and dries fairly quickly without a greasy residue. However, despite reapplying as directed, it didn’t fully protect us from sunburns during extended sun exposure. It may work well for shorter outdoor activities or moderate sun, but for long hours in strong sun, we didn’t find the coverage reliable enough.

Excellent protection for sensitive skin

Blue Lizard SPF 50 spray is an excellent choice for people with sensitive skin. It works great and I love being able to easily spray it on and not have any bad skin reactions. I've enjoyed many more sunny days than I typically do during the summer and the summer has just begun.

Having sensitive skin, this is the perfect solution. Made with organic aloe, it never caused any redness, irritation, breakouts or rashes and with SPF 50, I felt confident that it was keeping me protected anytime I was outside.

It goes on very easily. Holding it about 4-6 inches from you, you give it a good shake, spray it all over your body and rub it in. If you want it on your face, spray it into your hands first and then apply it to your face.

It is very lightweight and absorbs quickly once applied. It does leave a bit of white cast while you’re spraying, but once rubbed in, it does not linger. There is no overpowering ‘sunscreen smell’, it’s not sticky, tacky and doesn’t leave behind any greasiness or oily residues.

Overall, I liked this sunscreen. I liked that it was a spray and not a lotion. My skin felt soft when I applied it and it really worked on my sensitive skin. It was easy to apply and reapply, easy to pack into everything from a purse to luggage and worked well doing everything from backyard work to camping. A definite recommend.

Really good sunscreen

I was waiting to use this over a period of time before putting in my review. Overall this was a good sunscreen. It was not too oily and doesn't leave a white cast. I'm satisfied

Great sunscreen

The sunscreen is super light and feels great on skin.

Only issue is that when you first start spraying there is a concentrated white blob on your skin and then it fades into smooth layer of sunscreen

Amazing sunscreen

I totally loved Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral Spray Sunscreen 50 !! The spray format is easy to use. Spray dries very fast, skin quickly absorbs it and provides amazing sun protection with water resistant non-chemical formula. It doesn't have any scent and it doesn't leave a white residue behind.
