I didn't know what to expect when I saw this...it is so dark in color! Honestly, I didn't care much for this ice cream. I feel like it had a weird, almost powdery after-taste. When I think chocolate, I think creamy and sweet...this was more rich and dry almost. My husband loves this ice cream...and has had a bowl everyday! He would give it 2 thumbs up! I like it, but I am still partial to the Banana Cream Pie!

Out of the three sent, I think this one reminds me of ice cream the most. Let me put that another way; this ice cream is not as light and fluffy as the other two. Personally, I didn't notice the dark chocolate flavor much. Not at first anyway. The other two ice creams seem more decadent than this one, but it is still really yummy. This one was my other half's personal choice out of the three.

I loved this ice cream! First off, when they say it's creamy, they mean it.
The taste was great, I love dark chocolate and this one did not disappoint. Some companies miss when they make dark chocolate, but this one was spot on. It was just bitter enough for an ice cream. It was not too sweet, so I could definitely handle a little more than a sweeter ice cream (though that may not be a good thing! lol). I will be buying this one again when I need my dark chocolate and ice cream fix!

MMm, I got this as part of the ChickAdvisor's review club. I'm a little late with the review because I had difficulty finding all 3 flavours in my local stores.

Now I think I know why!

I really enjoyed this ice cream. Generally I don't eat it because I find ice cream too sweet, but I liked how the dark chocolate was sweet, but not too sweet. The texture and colour was really rich and melted on my tongue delightfully.

It's a little too chocolately for me to eat all the time, so I started making milkshakes out of it--fantastic! Add in some strawberries, blueberries and milk and you've got a refreshing shake for the summer!

I am not a big fan of dark chocolate but this ice cream was amazing!
The taste was so smooth and creamy, it was a real treat for the tastebuds! The dark chocolate ribbons throughout the chocolate just made this ice cream great.
I was very impressed because I expected this ice cream to be very sugary but it was just perfect. I think the dark chocolate really balanced it out and made it just right.
I would definitely recommend this ice cream to friends and have already shared it with my family and they agree that it is very tasty and worth the splurge! :)

YUMMY!!! Chocolate! Bryers Double Churn Dark Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream was VERY chocolately! And Very delicious! I was very impressed with the flavour... it was rich and creamy. An ice cream for the chocolate lover for sure! As much as I loved this ice cream I found that I couldn't eat too much of it. I just can't handle a lot of chocolate at once! Thanks again to the Product Review Club!! ... I think we need to start reviewing gyms, workouts and fitness clubs... becasue I now have THREE nearly full cartons ice cream in my freezer!! ... this has to be the most chocolateyist chocolate icecream i've ever tried. my God, i would definitely definitely recommend this to anyone who loves chocolate and wants to die in chocolate. i personally am not fond of chocolate, but if i were..i would totally indulge in this. my neighbour came over and tried it - she really liked the the chunks of chocolate! this is a summer must for chocolate lovers.

I like many absolutely love chocolate and this Ice cream flavour did not disappoint. It delivered a really natural chocolate taste, not too sweet like many other chocolate flavours by other brands -perhaps due to the fact that it was emulating dark chocolate and not milk chocolate? The texture was amazing, smooth and velvety just like the name implies - a definite favourite to satisfy my chocolate cravings.

This ice cream was delicious. Very very smooth and chocolaty. Very rich. Comparable to Ben & Jerry's or Haagen Daaz - it's that good. Excellent for a chocolate craving!

I'm pretty sure I am going to gain a few pounds because I can't put this container down. I actually just finished my second helping and am holding the urge to go to freezer again:)

When you open the lid, the chocolate is dark and looks incredibly rich and creamy. The taste is fantastic. Not overly sweet and just tastes and melts like rich, dark, high quality chocolate should. My kids ate this one up too, and asked for more - which is too bad because I was hoping to have this one all to myself!
It's the kind of treat that you eat and then hide the rest so that nobody else will take any (or is that just me?).

I will absolutely buy it again!
