Not as bitter as it used to be

I used to love having a can of Brio cola back in the '80's. I found one recently at Sobeys and tried it, but it didn't taste the same as it used to, not as bitter. Still good, but the recipe has definitely changed.

Yuck. I tried this years ago and hated it.. Decided recently to try it again to see if my taste buds changed Nope, not at all. I'm not even sure what this flavor is supposed to be but it's not pleasant.

As far as chinotto drinks go, this one definitely reigns supreme, the perfect balance of bitter sweet flavor and with the right amount of carbonation, it's contains about half the sugar of the leading brand soda drinks so it's not overly packed with sugar. Perfect for a treat on a nice summers day or enjoy it with pizza after all it is an Italian drink.
