Turkey Bacon as a Tasty Alternative

I was sent two Butterball product coupons in exchange for my honest review. One voucher was for a FREE 300 g pack of Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon. The other voucher was for a FREE 450 g pack of Butterball Traditional Turkey Franks. I redeemed both of these product coupons at Walmart. 

I feel like I need to explain my photo for the Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon. My family loves to BBQ. You could say my Husband and our Son are meat "connoisseurs". They enjoy Bacon and Hot Dogs. I was out voted, and they wanted to wrap the Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon around the Butterball Turkey Franks. They had no complaints. 

We all agree that this product was tasty, and had a ham like texture. We didn't get much of the Applewood Smoked flavour. Cooking this Turkey Bacon was sticky in the pan, so we recommend using a non-stick pan. I like how Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon is a great source of protein, and made from 100% turkey meat. This product claims to have "85% less fat" than regular pork bacon. It is Gluten-Free, and prepared in Canada. I would recommend this Turkey Bacon to those looking for a flavourful, lower fat alternative to regular bacon.

Healthy bacon alternative

The Butterball Applewood Turkey Bacon is a new family's favorite. My kids love the smoked Applewood flavor ,it gives the turkey more depth in flavor and smell . I love that this turkey bacon is not greasy compared to the regular bacon wherein after cooking you'll get lots of fats .And as a busy mom ,easy preparation of meals is always a bonus. This turkey bacon is 85% less fat than regular side bacon .It's a perfect source of protein giving 5g of protein per slice. For me ,this is the best alternative to the regular pork bacon ,way healthier in my opinion .

Delicious Turkey Bacon

I really enjoyed this product! The turkey bacon after I cooked it was very crisp and it maintained a very strong flavor. I cooked it to eat as a breakfast for dinner meal and it paired perfectly with my eggs and the rest of my dish. It’s a very well balanced turkey bacon it’s not too salty or too fatty. I found that all the pieces were very generous portion sizes and at the end of the meal I felt full. Overall, I would try this again.

Delicious

We got to try out Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon for free. We found that it cooked up similar to bacon though there was a lot less grease and it didn’t shrink as much. In fact, it contains 50% less fat than pork bacon. It tasted similar to traditional bacon though I found it was on the salty side and a bit chewier. However, we all enjoyed it.
The turkey bacon is a great low fat, reduced calorie alternative to pork bacon. We recommend this product.

I really enjoyed this because it tastes like ham but was Turkey! I am a huge Turkey lover and having this for perfect for breakfast but without all of the fat.

Great Alt to regular bacon

I didn't even knew turkey bacon was a thing before I got the opportunity to try this. I like that I can still get my bacon fix and not have to deal with the huge amounts of fats and grease regular pork bacon produces in the cooking process. I personally don't really taste that applewood flavour but I will buy this again.

Delicious - Just a Tad Salty

I recently tried Butterball’s Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon and was genuinely impressed! The smoky flavor is rich and savory, giving it that classic bacon taste without the heaviness of pork. It crisps up beautifully in the pan and makes an excellent addition to breakfast, sandwiches, or even crumbled over a salad.

The applewood smoke adds a nice depth of flavor that’s not overpowering — it’s just right. I also appreciate the leaner profile and the fact that it's lower in fat compared to traditional bacon.

If I had one small critique, it would be that it leans slightly on the salty side, and was a bit tough. Not enough to ruin the experience, but noticeable. That said, it’s still one of the best turkey bacons I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be buying it again. A great option for anyone looking for a lighter bacon alternative with big flavor!

Very tasty and well worth trying!!!

I was so happy I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and tried this! This is hands down going to be by go to as opposed to regular bacon. The taste is awesome and sooooo much less greasy and fatty. I was pleasantly surprised to find that each slice has 5g of protein compared to regular bacon that basically has none and a plus that it's prepared in Canada! I've already purchased more since trying it initially. Try it, you'll love it!

Butterball's delicious bacon!!!

The Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon is the best alternative I have ever had for bacon. It came out just the right crispy and chewy texture. It was delicious and I would definitely use it as an alternative. It cooked up really well and hardly even shrunk at all which was great!
