I received this product free as a part of the review club. I used it in a meat ball stroganoff and it was really nice. It is a bit heavier than regular pasta, but it cooked up nicely and my husband and daughters loved it.

I received the Catelli Ancient Grains Rotini as part of the Chickadvisor club. I love that the pasta contains 5 ancient grains and it is high in fibre. I found the texture to be a little grainy but the taste was good. My kids weren't the biggest fans of it unfortunately but for hubby and I, I would definitely make again!

Its also sodium free which is an added bonus. This is a great healthy choice for supper. I did find that i needed to cook the pasta a bit longer to make it soft plus the texture was a little grainy. All in all the family liked and we will have it again!

As others have commented it has a more mealy type texture. I don't think it would be for kids in my opinion (unless your little ones like brown bread) and it feels denser and more hearty when you eat it. It goes well with a meaty bolognese sauce, wouldn't go well with a white sauce in my opinion. Overall it's good though, 4/5 stars.

The texture was a bit different but I enjoyed it. My tastes have been changing since I have been making healthier choices. I found this pasta to be really good in baked recipes allowing it to cook a bit slower and absorb the flavour of the sauce.

I received a box of the Ancient Grains Rotini to try out from Chick Advisor and I was actually pleasantly surprised that my whole family loved it.

Positive: It contains 5 ancient grains and it's higher in fibre than most other pastas, also it's sodium free which is an added bonus.

Negative: I find it needs to cook a little bit longer than the 6 minutes specified on the package in order to get to the same softness as other regular pastas.

For kids I would recommend cooking the pasta directly in the sauce, this way it will soak up more of the flavor from the sauce and they may not notice the slight difference.

I made this pasta for dinner one night and it was great tasting. I made it with tomato sauce and it was delicious. I like the variety of shapes and types of pasta that Catelli offers. This is a pasta that you can mix and match with veggies and sauces.

I decided to make a pasta salad using the Catelli Ancient Grains Rotini instead of my usual white rotini. It was just okay for me. I think I would have to try it a few more times to see if the flavor grows on me. However, my hubby ate it and seemed to really enjoy it. I like that this is a healthier choice for my family as we really do enjoy pasta and I want to start making healthier choices.

I received this product for free in exchange for a review. This pasta was very tasty according to my kids and hubby! We've had whole grain pasta many times , so they were not put off by the different color. Would definitely buy this pasta again!

This was a miss with my family. I made it with an Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken with a light dusting of fresh grated parmesan. The taste seemed bitter to all of us. The colour also looked a little odd, it had a brown colour. My kids were very hesitant to try brown noodles. They prefer the multicoloured Rotini (spinach, tomato, potatoe. While not being too starchy it was too grainy and almost gritty for us.
