La crème glacée pistache et amandes est parfaitement équilibrée. Les notes de pistache se présentent dès le début pour laisser place au croquant et délicieux goût des amandes. Et les morceaux d'amandes sont d'une belle grosseur. Même monfils de 7 ans l'aime beaucoup. Un vrai délice!

It is ok, no Pistachio flavor

The ice cream is ok but really there is no Pistachio flavor. It tastes more like almond extract and almonds, which is disappointing. The almonds in it are actually pretty good, I think an almond flavored ice cream (with no extract!) would taste better. That said, my husband loved it, so it really depends on your taste.

Review: Chapman’s Premium Pistachio and Almond Ice Cream

Ice cream has become somewhat …predictable….all the same. So when ChickAdvisor chose me to review the new premium pistachio and almond ice cream by Chapman’s, I thought, “Why not?” but wasn’t expecting anything really different. Was I ever wrong!

First, this ice cream, along with all other Chapman products were all on sale during the time that I had the full-value coupon, so it was difficult to find it, let alone review it. I managed to get to a grocery store late one night when they were restocking and finally got some! I couldn’t wait to try it! I love nuts and I love ice cream. What could be better?

I took it home and opened it. I love the packaging for the premium ice cream. It is in a sleek black container and, right away, makes you feel like you are eating something special. The ice cream itself is smooth and thick. I could taste the cream, as opposed to the milk in some of the lesser brand names. The nuts - the pistachios and almonds - were plenty and crunchy and added to the flavour of the ice cream. The nuts and ice cream were not two separate entities, as sometimes happens when additives are included in ice cream. In this case, the nuts worked with the ice cream to give it a vet full, luscious flavour. It, very much, fit the definition of a “premium” ice cream.

A yummy treat

This ice cream has a lovely pistachio flavour, with some nice added crunch from the small pieces of almond in it. I Love that it is made with real cream.

Chapman's Premium Pistachio and Almonds Ice Cream

This ice cream has a smooth and creamy texture with a hint of crunch from the almonds evenly spread through. It's flavour is light and mellow and a nice option for serving after a rich spicy meal.

Good but no pistachios in product

I admit, I was a little disappointed to find that there are no actual pistachios in this product (ingredient list confirms this). Perhaps they should consider removing Pistachio from the title?
There are plenty of almonds though. It has a very creamy texture and has a slight hint of an amaretto taste. The taste is a bit overpowering. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Thank you for the opportunity to review this product!

Yummiest

The flavors are ever so subtle that each enhance the other.enjoyed it through and through. Despite having almond flavor there is a hint of cherry in the background that works well with the pistachio.

Loves nuts so this ice cream was made for me!

This ice cream was smooth and creamy with a wonderful almond and nutty taste. It went great with other toppings (especially chocolate sauce). We also tried it as an ice cream sandwich using chocolate chip cookies. It was good but I think a chocolate macadamia nut cookie would have made a better sandwich. My husband and kids didn’t care for it. They aren’t big but lovers like myself.

Great tasting combination of pistachio, almonds, and real cream. Very tasty. I’ll definitely buy again. Love the taste. Also love that this is a Canadian brand. Chapman’s is always a product of quality.
