My skin feels great!

I receive the clarins double serum for free in exchange for an honest review. I received a seven day trail and used it every night for one week. It’s not always possible to tell if a product is effective after just one week but here is what I did notice. My skin did feel softer and appeared to have a more even tone and slight changes to texture. The formula was not greasy at all, which was surprising because when I initially opened the first trail pack, it looked like to could have a greasy texture. This product is scented but smells lovely.

Great for dry skin!

This product really did help my dry skin. It's not oily, it absorbs really well into the skin and it has a really nice scent to it. It didn't help with overall redness that I have, but it did make my skin feel really hydrated and soft. I would recommend it if dryness is an issue for you.

Holy grail if you are into face oils

I was dying to try Double Serum Firming & Smoothing Anti-Aging Concentrate from Clarins, looking at its impressive ingredients list and also its high price point. After using it for a week, I feel like this product has both pros and cons for me. 

The concentrate consists of 2 formulas which you have to mix before applying: an orange oil phase and a transparent gel-like phase. The serum has a strong floral scent which is okay for me, but may be a bit overwhelming for those who prefer unscented products, it smells more like a perfume than skincare.  

After application, it doesn't feel like a serum at all, it feels like a real face OIL. It absorbs quite slowly and feels tacky, so I wouldn't recommend applying it under the makeup, unless you have a lot of time in the morning and are okay with a very dewy and light coverage, cause your foundation won't stay in place for a long time on such an oily base. Thus, I'd rather consider it as a night serum.

As for the result, I feel like it definitely improved my skin tone. Although I don't normally buy face oils and prefer much more lightweight face products, I enjoyed using it and liked how healthy and bright my skin looked after each application. I can definitely see those rich ingredients working and how they improved my skin condition by preventing breakouts and dryness.

To summarize, I think this would work perfectly for more mature skin and those who love using face oils. I feel like the long-term results will be impressive. For myself, however, I would still prefer something more lightweight and affordable. Maybe I should buy it for my mom :)

Great product to try

I was given the opportunity to try this serum for a few days and definitely saw some promising results. It did not irritate my skin and I felt that it improved the look and texture over the couple of days.

Nice but pricey

I was happy to try this product for free from Bitterly and Chick Advisor. I had been curious about Clarins products for a long time but hadn't had the chance to try them.
This product is really nice, though the sampling packaging was really difficult to work worth as it was hard to get one of the products out. I assume this would not be the case on the full sized item.
The product did make my face soft and gave it a refreshed look, I assume due to the tumeric. However, the main drawback is the cost. Skincare is more accessible these days and while I think the more luxe items like this will still draw people in I do think there is a way to get similar results with other products. Though, as I age this may become a staple item, time may tell!

Ok, would have liked more.

This serum seems like it would be great but with the small samples it's hard to see any results. It left my skin feeling soft and not greasy. I'm not sure if it would be worth the price as the sample size packets don't last long enough for an accurate review.

Pricey, but seems to work

I received this product sample free from Butterly and Clarins to review.

I want to start by saying that 7 days is difficult to submit a proper review. I did like that I saw an immediate difference in how smooth my skin was. It does have a bit of an oily consistency which I like, I also found it very moisturizing.
There is a small crease on my forehead that was definitely less visible after using for a few days which was great as well. There is a scent to it but it’s more floral and not very strong so I actually like it. I know a lot of people prefer scent-free products though so I can see it being a negative for some.
The two major cons are price and lasting effectiveness. Once I stopped using it I found the crease started showing again and my skin wasn’t as smooth. For the hefty price and for how quickly it will get used up it may be hard to continue purchasing.

Love how it made my face hydrated. I enjoyed the texture and it glided smoothly on my face and my skin felt good the next day I just wished it came in a bottle to try

Lovely facial serum

A glowing serum

The serum is so silky and I love how it absorbs into the skin without leaving it feeling oily or sticky. After using it for 7 days my skin felt radiant, soft and had a really nice glow. I didn’t see any improvement in fine lines,( will probably have to use more than 7 days to see) no difference in firmness, smoothness, and saw no tightening of pores. I loved the brightening and glowing complexion it left me with.
