Not my favorite toothpaste

Colgate Total Clean advertises that it is for 'whole mouth health'. Somehow, though, this promise just fell short for me. I would presume that it reduces bacteria in the mouth, as indicated; however, my teeth and whole mouth in general just weren't particularly 'wowed' by this toothpaste and I didn't feel like it got my teeth as clean as some other toothpastes I have tried. I also didn't care for the flavor and would prefer a stronger mint for fresher breath.

Colgate Total covers the bases

I am not overly impressed with this toothpaste - I did not notice any marked improvement in my dental hygiene and I think I actually prefer my previous toothpaste to this one - I just have to say it was really unremarkable.

All in one toothpaste

This toothpaste is a paste so it gets quite foamy. It left my teeth feeling clean however I wish it had a stronger minty flavour. I like that it’s good for sensitive teeth and gingivitis and I love the stand up tube!

Not for those with sensitivity

I am super conscious about dental health as my family has gum and dental genetic predispositions. My gums have become very sensitive lately and I can't use the same toothpaste as I used to. I was thrilled when Butterly and Colgate offered the chance to try some of their new products free in exchange for my honest review.


Unfortunately, my preferences weren't considered and I was sent essentially the same toothpaste to review as in February, the Colgate Total Whole Mouth Health - Clean Mint.


The toothpaste itself is great for people without sensitivity, and I stand by the review I posted earlier.


I did try it again to fulfill my obligation and it did not go well.


The flavor of this toothpaste is nice, a light fresh mint that did not trigger my known problem with toothpaste flavors.


The toothpaste aggravated my sensitivity badly and burned my gums and lips increasingly each time I used it, and dried them out, resulting in cracked red lips and an inability to eat certain foods. I stopped using it after a week and gave it to a family member who loved it.


My takeaway is this is not a toothpaste for anyone with sensitivity, but it's great otherwise.

Pas blanchissant

Le dentifrice est bien globalement mais il manque le côté blanchissant pour satisfaire mes critères personnels d'un bon dentifrice. Il est, par contre, bien de façon globale.

Not too minty

I didn't like the taste of this product. It wasn't minty enough for my liking, but it did foam up nicely. I also noticed some irritation around my lips, but that could be because I have a sensitivity to an ingredient.

It’s toothpaste

It’s nothing overly special, it’s pretty good rho. I’m postpartum so I’m always looking for things to help me feel fresh since I’m breast-feeding it’s hard to fine to get toothpaste
