Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella Reviews
#5 in Books

Description

Becky has a fabulous flat in London''s trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season''s must-haves. The only trouble is that she can''t actually afford it-not any of it...

    Funny read

I think I read this book a couple of times. Although the main character for me wasn't always likeable due to the bad decisions she was making, I enjoyed this book and I think I even laughed out loud like a crazy person while reading it

This was the first Sophie Kinsella book I ever read, and it lead me to buy and read the whole Confessions of a Shopaholic series. The book is quite light and has a hilarious undertone that keeps you interested and laughing out loud. This is a great book for teens. The book is far superior to the movie, in my opinion. It has a chick lit writing style, which is fun and simple. Although the book is light, it is really entertaining and uniquely written, from the perspective of Becky Bloodwood, who is a unique character.

I first picked this one up at a used bookstore after watching the film and finding it quite cute. This book really is the written equivalent of a chick flick; it's simple, easy fun. Because it doesn't offer much in the way of substance, this book is best enjoyed as a light snack, one which can be consumed as a quick summer read in between more serious fare.

This book spawned several more sequels, most of which I have also read and equally enjoyed. Sometimes it's good to turn your brain off for awhile!

Even though these books, confessions of a shopaholic,(et al) by Sophie kinsella are light and rather formulaic reads they are really enjoyable. You care about Becky and all of the other characters. And the many books in the series will leave a reader content.

These books were light hearted. I really enjoyed reading them. The content was not serious and I laughed alot. If you are a shopholic you will enjoy reading these. I totally felt Becky's pain sometimes!

When I want a break from more serious reading, Sophie Kinsella is one of my very favourite authors. This book is easy to read, funny and very entertaining.
