I have green hazel eyes and I LOVED the colour combo called 'citrus flair'. This is a perfect set of colours for the summer for me, though I am not even trying to do a smokey eye. I love the eye-brightening citrus green along my lash line for day time - makes my eyes pop. And for a more sexy subtle colour, the bronze is great... again it highlights the gold in my eyes.I have problems with the lack of staying power and I am not in love with the more greasy feel of the shadow. I would recommend it only for the great colour combo

I like this product. It's not amazing but it gets the job done. It cuts my make-up time in half.

After seeing the commercials, I was excited to try this and use it for a special occasion I had coming up. It looked simple enough to use, so I thought it was going to be an awesome product. I was wrong. Even after following the instructions exactly on the package, I couldn't get the two colors (I got the white/silver and gray/black) to blend, and after an hour, the color was gone except for a crease on my eyelid. If there was a tip guide and it had a longer lasting formula, it would be a good product, but for me it failed on what I needed it to do. I have used other powder eye shadows for a smokey eye and turned out wonderfully, so I will just stick to those unless the ShadowBlast makes some serious changes.

When I saw the ads on TV I was really excited - it seemed like a one-stop shop for a smoky eye effect. I tried the golden-brown combination because no other choice would go well with green eyes. My excitement melted away as soon as I got home and tried the product. The crayon-style applicators seemed too hard/dry and you need to press really hard to get something out of it. If you try it with a primer - the product just glides on your eye lid without any effect. The colour goes on uneven, and the brown that comes with the gold is actually very ugly. Another thing I hate about CG products in general (like eyeliners, etc) is that the plastic cap breaks almost right away and fails to stay on - multiple times I had accidents in my purse because of this. Oh well, I tried the shadowblast 2 or 3 times without ever stepping outside with it on, kept it in my "old but hopefully I'll use it again makeup" pouch for a couple months, and yesterday retired it with a sigh into a garbage bin - what a waste of around $10 after-tax

I wanted to like it, because I wanted to have trendy smokey eyes. I should have known that something was not going to work when I saw the crayon type applicator. First of all, I am African American and the shadows were very chalky in nature. When trying to apply the smokey element, the crayon broke. The other part was not much better. I looked like a 2 year old had created eyes reminiscent of the go go days of the 60's. I like attention, but it should be subtle and not out there eye shadow. The crayons are just too big to handle effectifely. I turned to Covergirl because of reputation, but I ran right back to Mac

I was excited to try these new smoky shadow blasts. I tried it in onyx and at first I was confused. It looks so simple in the commercial, I would suggest a tip sheet on how-to use it. As much as smoky eyes are fun, I like to use the lighter side as a base before I wear subtle neutral eyeshadow. It adds a aparkle to my eyes that lasts all day!

I received a sample of this product from the brand for testing.

I really don't like saying I hate a product... but I HATE this product.

After seeing various commercials for this dual-ended cream eyeshadow stick, I decided to go to Target and pay the $7.50 for one of them. When I got there, they had every one of the colors on display. And man, I was floored at how pretty they were. I ended up picking out the shade Citrus Flair. Who could resist the total uniqueness of the idea of having a lime-green-and-copper smokey eye? I was so excited for this product. Until I tried it.

First, the commercials claim that the shadows are easy-to-blend, so that anyone can achieve the popular colorful smokey eye. Not really. It was almost impossible for me to blend these shadows without wiping them off, so I ended up looking really strange with two colors on my lid that were totally separate from each other. But I decided to just go with it and went about my day. I noticed that the shadows felt really greasy AND sticky on my eyelids, which is SO not a plus. And after maybe an hour of wear, the shadows were so creased it was amazing. I had a huge, clumpy line of green and brown across my eyelid. I was so disappointed, but I kept my chin up and tried it the next day with some eyelid primer. I had the exact same result as I did the day before. I tried to convince myself that it would be okay, so I wore it a few mores time after that with no such luck.

Interestingly enough, the most recent time I used it, the copper end of the stick BROKE. As in, completely snapped off, even though I didn't have it twisted up very far.

All in all, I was very, very disappointed in this product, considering all of the hype that's been surrounding it. So, if you just happen to have just bought a Smokey Shadow Blast, I would recommend returning it and getting your money back. In my opinion, 7-8 bucks is just too much to spend on something that will be unblendable, crease, and break in the end.

I was very excited when this product came out as i had never been able to achieve the perfect smoky eye. I tryed the onx colour. It was hard to be accurate when putting it on. As both ends were so large. once one end wears down it really becomes usless so i just began using the one end as a simple eyeshadow instead.

Even after reading the bad reviews about this product, I decided to buy it thinking my magic Urban Decay Primer potion would make it better. This product creases minutes after I put it on. It doesn't have any staying power. The colors were pretty and it was easy to create a smoky look but it's worthless if it won't even stay on for at least an hour!

I am so dissapointed with this product. To be fair, I don't know of many CG products that I've actually liked. I think it's the commercial that got me. Drew Barrymore looks good and it made me want the product.

I purchased it at Shoppers for 7.99 CDN on sale. Regular I think it was 10.99. The price was quite low but I must admit I don't like spending more than 6-8 bucks for drug store labels, especially CG ones since I have such a history of dissatisfaction.

The packaging is in a cardboard backed package, like many CG products. I like the tamper resistant factor, but I also like to hold the product in my hand before I purchase, I am slightly insane when it comes to product purchase, I know. The container is slick, a two sided twisty pen with the shadow on one end and the "liner" (I put this in parenthesis because I'm still unsure as to whether it could actually be called a liner - I would say more of a contouring colour). One thing that was small, but not so great was that the first time I used it I saw a small crack on the rim of the lids to one of the ends. Not enjoyable as one of my pet peeves with products with the dual dispensers is that the packaging breaks and then the product is finished. So it's looking like in the next month one of the lids for one side of my Shadowblast isn't going to fit and therefore get lost.

The performance of this product is one of my main complaints about CG products. It doesn't apply well. Not enough pigmentation so you have to go back and forth, back and forth to get some colour. As I mentioned earlier in this review, the "liner" side, isn't really a liner. It's a contouring secondary colour. This product would actually perform better if a kohl liner was used in conjunction with this. I never actually got a real "smoky" eye - more just silverish eyeshadow.

The wear of this product is just like another complaint I usually have about CG prodcuts. It doesn't wear well. It creases and travels and I felt the need to reapply and wipe under my eyes at noon.

Overall my satisfaction with this product is non-existent. I shall try a couple of other application techniques in the following days and update my post. But it's not looking good........
