Wished cheese had more of a pull!
Im not usually a fan of dairy free cheese and dairy free products, so I had low hopes for this product. I liked that the calories were low and it was easy to cook in an airfryer. Unfortunately, the cheese didnt melt well and was just kinda there. Taste was ok. Pizza is pizza but I wasnt wowed.
Not for us
This product may be great for those looking for dairy free options, however my family was not keen on this product. Unfortunately we never finished it.
Not the best frozen pizza
I cooked this product in a conventional oven following the directions on the box (I cooked it for the minimum time). It looked quite delicious. On tasting though, the crust was very dry on the outside and soggy toward the sauce. Speaking of the sauce, it was very tasty. I’ve had dairy free cheese in the past and really liked it. What I tried wasn’t however cooked. Cooked on this pizza, it was more sticky than gooey (it literally stuck to my teeth). The overall flavour was good but the textures just didn’t appeal to me.
Interesting dairy free pizza
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
I love pizza and I was excited to try this pizza. However, I was a little disappointed with the taste. There is an odd after taste and the cheese tastes a little weird. I miss that there was no cheese pull and very little pizza sauce. Not sure I would buy this again. However, I enjoyed the fact that it cooked in 5 minutes in the air fryer. It was a quick and easy meal to make. The price also seems excessive for 2 small personal pizzas. One can buy atleast 3 large size pizzas for the same price.
Not worth the price
I received this to test and review for free from this is Butterly. The personal size only come in veggie and Margherita and is difficult to find. I was looking forward to trying these as they were gluten free and dairy free. For 2 small thin crust, it’s $11. I don’t have an air fryer so I cooked it in the oven. Recommended time was 12-15. I did 14 mins. The crust was nice and crunchy but bland. The sauce was flavourless and not enough cheese. I sprinkled Italians and sprinkle some leftover lactose free marble cheese over and microwaved. Even after microwaving it still was crispy so points for that. The next one I’m going to brush garlic butter on the crust. Don’t recommend!!
OK
Received this as a sample from Butterly. This was my first time eating dairy-free and gluten-free. I’ve heard my vegan friends rave about daiya as a milk cheese alternative so I was quite excited for this.
As an occasional dairy and gluten-eater, unfortunately this isn’t something I will be reaching for 😅 I really liked that it could be air-fried really quickly (4 minutes for soft bottom - 6 minutes for crispiness). The pizza sauce was tangy and refreshing. There were pieces of real tomato but after being air-fried, they were more like air dried tomatoes and their addition to the taste was negligible. The cheese is an “oat cream blend” and I felt it was very… creamy. Not bad tasting. Texture wise it was soft, gummy-like, and oddly stuck to my teeth. I think that the taste was there overall but the texture of gluten-free bread is not for me. I think I tried something gluten-free a long long long time ago and this was similar. Is it the standard for gluten free bread? 😭 It was bland with no bite, like cardboard.
If it weren’t gluten free, I might be ok with this but wow. We need to make better gluten free products.
Not my kind of pizza
As a vegetarian, I’m open to plant-based options, but this dish was disappointing. It just wasn’t for my taste buds, though others who enjoy this style of plant-based food may like it more.
Pas a mon gout personnellement
Malheureusement pour moi, ça ne m’as pas plus. Je suis intolérante au lactose et j’aurai espérer avoir trouver une option. Mais le gout est fake. Goute le carton. Je n’acheterai pas ce produit
Overpriced for size
I had high hopes for this cheese pizza from daiya brand. The cheese pull was there and it was easy to prepare. Cooked perfectly according to instructions; but I cannot get past that initial smell, ruins it for me and tastes nothing like pizza.
Mediocre dairy free alternative
Crust was awesome, thin crispy everything you want from a thin crust pizza. But the pizza lost me at the sauce and cheese alternative. There is something in the sauce that my taste buds didn't like and the cheese alternative...melts beautifully looks great, but you can tell its not real cheese, and NO CHEESE PULL. THat my fave part the cheese pull and this didn't have it. Overall it was just Mediocre at best.
