This product is said to have the scent of coconut water and lime, but I could not really smell it (I could only smell it when I try really hard). Maybe it's because it's coconut water mixed with lime, the end result is a scent that could be mistaken for something else... (smelled more like lychee to me at first). After my hair dried from using this shampoo (plus conditioner), my hair also does not smell like coconut water nor lime, unless I tried really hard searching for the smell of those two scents. Although I am disappointed with the lack of coconut scent, the scent of this product is still nice and mild.

The shampoo is a clear gel like texture. I have long hair and found that I had to use about the same amount as many other shampoos out there to get a good lather. The amount of hair loss I get during and after the wash was also typical to my other shampoos.

In terms of nourishing hydration effect, I also did not feel that it was more or less superior than other competitive brands. The product combined with the conditioner (I don't use shampoo without a conditioner) made my hair feel clean, lightweight, and smooth. I think this product would be suitable for any hair type because it's the most basic requirement to healthy hair. I would purchase this at sale prices.

I got this for free as part of the chick advisor product review club. I've happily used Dove shampoos in the past but it has been a few years and I'm constantly looking for favourites. I was not disappointed. My favourite thing about this shampoo is the smell. It smells AMAZING. It does a very good job at hydrating without weighing down my hair. I have dry brittle ends due to colour damage so I have noticed my ends improve in just 2 washes. I will definitely repurchase and recommend this to others to try (you'll love the smell).

I received this product for free through ChickAdvisor. I love the way this shampoo smells. It is very hydrating and goes on smooth and easy. I've even left it in my hair to give myself a little extra boost and then washed it out a couple hours later. Dove products smell the best of any out there and I would recommend this product to anyone who has dry hair that needs a boost. I'll be recommending this to my friends!

I absolutely love anything dove makes! It really helps add moisture into your hair and leaves it so soft and silky! The smell of it is so amazing and it lingers in your hair all day! By far one of the best shampoos I've ever used!

I love this Dove Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo, I really love the smell it's not strong, but a fresh scent. This Shampoo works really well with my hair. It soaps up really well. I was thrilled to received this product for free to review for the ChickAdvisor Product Review club. First of all the bottle design is sleek and classy. Second of all, the second I opened the lid the smell made me swoon! It is warm and sensual. The color of the shampoo is clean, and the lather was amazing! I used this shampoo for the first time yesterday and I am still receiving compliments on how good my hair smells today. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future.

I have used Dove products in the past and I was expecting something new and improved with this new scent and ingredients. I first looked at the ingredient list on the back and was disappointed to see the second ingredient as sulfates. Sulfates are known to dry out hair so saying this is “hydrating” is contradictory. I also noticed there is no “Coconut Water” in the ingredients and only “Coconut Oil”. I found the shampoo to be really strong in scent and very floral compared to what I initially though- coconut, fresh, light… I was expecting to be reminded of being on vacation on a tropical island but that didn’t happen.

I didn’t find any difference in the feel of my hair compared to my normal product.

Price- $8.49 each in shoppers. I found this a little high compared to the competition.

Overall, I’m happy to be selected to test this product for free but I will not purchase this in the future. I didn’t find a difference in this product compared to my normal shampoo and was turned off by the harsh ingredients on a product that is marketed as being hydrating.
