We used this oil on the very curly, dry ethnic hair of our twin girls. It smells heavenly and leaves their hair shiny and soft. Unfortunately it doesn't moisturize as much as some other oils we've tried but I think for the average person with dry hair it would work quite well. I regularly use a hair oil after washing my hair. I find that it helps keep my hair moisturized, and minimizes static and fly aways. I'm not loyal to any particular brand so I was keen to try Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil. I use about 4-5 pumps, massage the oil between my hands, and then glide my fingers through my hair so that I coat the strands. It is effective, but personally I don't love the scent. I've heard others describe it as baby powder which isn't my favourite. It isn't unpleasant though...just not for me. Of note, for a drugstore item, I'd prefer a lower price tag. The one I'm using now isn't much more expensive and is more of a luxury product.

I have never used an oil product on my hair before, so was excited to try this. I loved it. It has a great scent and it really helped nourish and lock the moisture in my hair. I used it after washing, on damp hair, and let my hair air dry. It also reduced the frizziness a bit. I can see how the bottle would last a while, as you don't need to use much, making it relatively affordable.

I love the way it left my hair feeling so soft and healthy looking. The packaging was also very nice for a drug store product.

I try the dove pure care dry oil nourishing hair treatment with african Macadamia oil , it's very good for my hair. Less frizzotis and less dry hair. but the price is expensive for me. if it as a sale on it I bought it.

I have been using hair oils for a few years now. I treat my hair so poorly it really is the least I can do for it. Dove’s Pure Care Dry Oil is a really great product – especially for $12.99. A little goes a long way – so I have been using 2 pumps instead of 4 pumps. If you use too much it can leave your hair looking a bit greasy so best to start with less and apply at the roots and move upward along the strands.

After using Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil, I was ultimately happily surprised with the softness and moisture it gave my hair.
As someone with dandruff it helped to also moisturized my scalp.
I am very leery about oil products, as they often tend to leave my hair greasy looking, and hard to wash out, this wasn't the case with Dove's Dry Oil!

I have and will continue to recommend Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil to all my friends and family!

I used this product on my freshly washed hair that was still damp. When I squirted the dry oil out onto my hands it felt really greasy and I wondered what it would do to my hair. The dry oil has a pleasant smell that I would describe as a spicy scent.

After applying the dry oil to my hair, I noticed my hair brush just glided through my hair and the product seemed to act like a detangler. As my hair air dried it was not heavy or weighed down. My hair felt silky to the touch and was soft. I also noticed my hair looked a little shinier than usual. My hair did not feel greasy or oily like I anticipated it feeling. The greasy feel of the product on my hands did absorb and left my hands feeling so soft and hydrated. I may be tempted to use this dry oil as a heavy duty moisturizer for my hands!

This is a product I would continue to use and would recommend it to others to try.

I tried this product right away. I thought it would be a great addition as I have super long hair and it is curly and can be frizzy. I did use it and it did help to tame the frizzies.
Overall it was a nice product but I did find that it seems to be a bit heavy for thin or delicate hair. I would love it if it had no extra scents and no extra products that make it feel kind of heavy on your hair.

For the price and the small amount it is a good product. I would recommend but be very sparce with it.
