A decent scale at a good price

I really like this scale so far - it is lightweight and sturdy, with a sleek design. So far it seems to be accurate, too. I really like that the number is illuminated, too - I weigh myself when I get up and sometimes it's too dark to see the numbers. I am really happy with this purchase - it was inexpensive and works well.

As far as bathroom scales go, the Etekcity digital scale does everything right. When trying it out, I honestly could not find any fault with it. Right out of the box it was ready to go (batteries included) so I put it down, stepped on it, and within less than a second it had started up and was checking my weight. The actual result came within two seconds, and repeat attempts showed that the scale was producing the same accurate result every time.

Obviously when setting this up, you're going to need a flat surface to rest this on. Once you put it down, the scale will remain off until you step on it. Once it has your weight, it will keep the number displayed for several seconds, so no need to worry about missing it if you don't check fast enough. It helps that the display is quite large and it's backlit, so you can use this in the dark without having to turn on the lights, useful for checking your weight at night or first thing in the morning.

The range should be enough for most people, from about 10 pounds to a limit of just over 500 pounds. You can also change it to display in pound, kg or stone, which is great for Americans or Brits who might prefer a different measurement than pounds. This is so useful for me as a Scottish-expat, I have so much trouble understanding weight in anything other than stone.

I was very happy with this product, and would definitely recommend it. I've had terrible luck in the past with scales that were unreliable, annoying to use, or simply hard to get a good reading on, so I was really happy to see that this Etekcity digital scale checks all the right boxes and does so at an affordable price to boot.
